If for nothing else, go for the smells.If you can visit this place without wanting to put on a pair of spectacles and a cardigan, light a pipe and settle into a velvet couch with a book, I'll be baffled. THIS PLACE IS MY DREAM BOOK SHOP. Every genre, from every year. Some new, some were practically fossils. Jam-packed to the ceiling with novels, biographies, children's books, poetry - you name it. I wanted to curl up on the floor and never leave.You can't visit Stillwater without stopping in!

This independent book store carries high quality used books, neatly organized, and ranging from kids books to youth and adult classics to rare books. We've been fans and coming for probably 5-6 years now. It has helped fuel our interest in collecting, and our last visit found us leaving with books ranging from kids classics by Wanda Gag to young adult stories by Madeline L'Engle to a high quality 1896 illustrated story about traveling in Venice. Nice, quiet place to look for a special find!
