Holy wow - I just ambled over to the food truck for the first time a couple minutes ago and got the brisket sandwich and it was absolutely off the hook. The brisket was done perfectly from the trim to the smoke to the sauce and season. What a gem!

Mr. Cherry does amazing bbq. Although initially skeptical, we have to admit it was one of the best bbq ever. He was smoking brisket when we pulled up to his food truck. With a big welcoming smile we joked that we were looking for his restaurant that maps led us to. At this point it's only a food truck, although he has hopes for reopening sometime. He was smoking brisket for the New Ulm brewery that day, but he gave us a sample anyway. Oh goodness, Mr. Cherry knows what he's doing. If you get a chance to catch him, don't miss the opportunity. And if anyone in the area could help underwrite his efforts to opening his restaurant again I hope they will take a chance on him!

In the podunk town of Fairfax, MN lies a hole in the wall BBQ joint. I think we can all agree that the best food comes out of holes in the wall. Not only did you drool before, during, and after eating the delicious smoked meat, but the owner Leslie was a stallion himself. Real charismatic man that can obviously read his audience. We had a great time tossin jokes back and forth as well as telling a few meaningful stories. If you get the chance to support Leslie, do it! You won't be disappointed!

8 of us came to Black Cherry smokehouse food was cold ribs hard as a rock and that was for all of us. When we told the waitress (no name tag) all she said was she will let them know. No one apologized for our lackluster food. Not impressed for spending over 140 $ for my family to eat, ohh dont forget its 100° in the lobby. After 45 minutes of us sitting down a employee finally opened the big garage door cuz she said she needed air. DO NOT EAT HERE. CUSTOMER BEWARE!

Mr. Cherry and his staff are doing a great job! The rib rub is uniquely tasty. The brisket is perfect. And the baked beans are delightfully normal. Even on a busy night with only one waitress, the kitchen kept up and the patrons seemed happy. There may not be many local choices but Black Cherry is at the top of my list!

Excellent ribs- meaty, moist, tender, and flavorful. The barbecue sauce is served separately (mild, garlic or spicy), which makes it a low carb option for diabetics if you skip it. I did because they were great without it. The chicken, on the other hand, needed a little something so I tried a dab of the garlic bbq sauce and it was worth the carbs. Speaking of, another gem was the baked beans. They had great flavor and a generous amount of the house pulled pork mixed in. The home made Cole slaw got top marks from me because it tasted fresh and had a little color, probably from red cabbage and carrot. The dressing was not too sweet, so another win for a reduced carb lifestyle. Well, I somehow didn't post this last time I was here so I'll just double what I said last time. The service is always friendly and efficient. Tonight was slow and the only one working was Black Cherry himself. He's a great guy. This little gem is worth a road trip
