Big Steer's "Squeely Capone" is a boneless pork chop stuffed with hard salami, Capicola, green olives, and hot pepper cheese.
Ino loves the beef stew chunks for a tasty treat!

Charlie is the best! Spaghetti sauce is the best! It's better than in Italy! We have been going here for years!

Great selection of meats, meals, and frozen items. We often come here in the summer for their delicious selection. They have some rather unique meat options too, so plenty of stuff to mix it up for the grill!A personal favorite is the frozen pizza. They don't seem like much, but they are delicious. There are also a good selection of different brats with different flavors. Always a great go to.Overall, they've always been friendly and prompt. It's a classic deli/meat shop setting so get after when you're in there! Great local place that's easily accessible.

I came here with Leah S. who had a gift certificate. The first thing that hits you is the great smell. Still lent so I didn't need any meat. But it's a very complete family butcher shop. They have loads of frozen items. I noticed marinara sauce. Then I went to the front counter they had spaghetti sauce, which I bought. I just don't feel like any major cooking now. I was told the marinara is sweeter and chunkier. I'll do more shopping here after lent. I'm sure Leah will want to come with me and of course we'll have another great meal at the Little Oven across the street.

I first came here to grab a good sausage for my homemade meat balls. I fell in love ever since which is why I make it a point to step into Big Steer and pick up my meat in bulk, because in my neighborhood, I have yet to find any other meat that Big Steer can't beat. The service is fantastic. If you're not sure what meat you're looking for... just ask, these guys are the meat experts and will get right on it.If you've already got your meat at home and need a little something to compliment it, they make plenty of house seasonings and sauces for your meat as well. Not that their meat needs complimenting, it's good to begin with. You can also trust the meat... it's clean, fresh, and it's safe, you're not going to get any meat-borne illnesses here. If you want to taste their meat right away they'll make you a mean sandwich with the meat of your preference. Some of the best cold cut meat sandwiches I've ever had. After discovering this great little meat shop, I refuse to grab my meat anywhere else.

This place is great. We started out by buying some hamburger here and we were surprised by how much better it tasted than the stuff we get at the supermarket. Then we tried some of their specialty items; they were wonderful. Finally we took the plunge and bought a big freezer pack that had all different kinds of meat in it and, honestly, everything we got was MUCH higher quality and far tastier than what we can get at Cub/Rainbow/Byerly's. We don't bother buying hardly any meat at the supermarket anymore. We are hooked on this cool little butcher shop. Also, if you have dogs, they have bones for dogs that will make your pooch so very happy. The only bad thing is if your dog drops one of these bones down a flight of stairs . . .HEAVY bone flying...DUCK! ;-)

I grew up on the Eastside. I know live in a southern suburb yet the ONLY meat sore i will visit is Big Steer. The staff of men are all welcoming, great prices and my latest find there is their jumbo pickles. They are sooo good I will buy a few a week with my Welch's gralow soda in addition to my meat/spaghetti sauce/garlic bread purchases.Vicki Burback aka one of Toms daughters

We go to Big Steer on a monthly basis to pick up one of their freezer packs. Since its just DH and myself, one generally lasts us a month, along with picking up some extra hamburger or a pack of brats occasionally. Along with the great value of the freezer packs, we generally add something additional to our order. I recommend there hot Dagos in marinara, the pork breakfast sausage and the brisket in au jus. Their made to order sandwiches are outstanding (I love the pastrami) and filled to bursting with meat. I think Big Steer is an outstanding value for the money and the staff is fast to assist and very courteous.

Only butcher shop I go to. Their Squealy Capone's are staple during grill season and without their fantastic jerky and meat cheese to snack on there's no way I could stay in ketosis!
