This shop is full of bikes. Very knowledgeable and has a lot of helpful information. He has high end bikes and low end bikes. Electrical and manual. I'm sure he could custom build any tour of bike. There is even a scooter! I'm getting a new rim for my bike. Glad I came.

I talked to owner about getting a Day-6 bike and brought in a $1000 cash deposit as he required on June 1, 2021. Waited and waited to hear about my bike.. nothing. I called several times no return call. Finally, I talked to owner and he said they were back-ordered due to Covid. I completely understood that and he assured me my bike would be coming in the spring. It's now June 2022, no word about my bike or return calls. Called to let them know I no longer wanted the bike, again no return call. Wrote a letter requesting a check for my deposit, with picture of the receipt for my deposit. Again NO response. I will be taking him to Conciliation Court where he'll have to pay me my deposit plus court cost. How can anyone run a business like this.

I thought ripping people off only existed in the car business. Son and Dad play good cop, bad cop. Brought a bike in to have an ebike package installed. Talked to Bill (father) about install and brought bike in to be looked at. i get to the shop and his son says he's going to do it and offers me a price eleven hundred dollars ( in writing) Leave bike with shop. Thru numerous conversations with Bill the owner , I am told his son has ADD and this will be his side project. At one point I made an unannounced visit to the shop and had them show me my bike because I was hearing so much bullshit. When my bike was finished the bull come to eighteen hundred dollars. Blamed his son for not charging the right amount because of his disabilities. on top of that they put on cheaper components than I had asked for. When I told Bill I was going to pay in cash he told me to only give the money to him because he could not trust his son. The keys to the battery I just recently got because Bill told me his son had lost them ( which was a lie) it gets better!!! Dummy me goEd and buys a used trek ebike from them. After 2 rides the chain breaks. Bring bike back to be serviced under warranty. After 2 months of phone calls on how they are so busy and more lies about what was wrong with the bike we pick the bike up. they took the factory Chain guard off saying it could be the problem and left a bracket on that my wife cut her leg on. Last Sunday, my wife took her bike out for the 3rd time since the repair and the chain broke and she was stranded on the 95 degree heat. I emailed Bill and said we would like our money back and I received a long email of lies on why he could not do this. Also we were promised keys for this bike for months and never received them. I spent 75.00 for a lock smith to make keys for the battery. We brought the bike in to a Trek dealer, and there is a recall on this bikes mid drive. Couple of phone calls and they would have known this! Been a HUGE bike enthusiast since I was a kid. Always had honest , good people , working on my bikes. Never could have imagined I could have been taken like this from a bike shop

Get ready to take your life into your own hands trying to negotiate all of the bikes and parts throughout the shop, basically no path. If you're lucky the owner or assistant/wife might make it to you first. Just wanted a simple tuneup, new grips, and get my Cateye working. They never wrote that down. After almost 3 weeks, I called on a Saturday to see if done. Don't believe the hours on any website. It was noon. We're on our way and will be there soon. After 3 unanswered calls, I decided to wait until Monday. Again left a message asking them to call ME. Lo and behold it was done! Sorry, Cateye not working because no one wrote it down. No offer to "hey, we'll take a quick look". I asked if tires were inflated properly. No don't want to do that, it's so hot they'll blow up. Are ya kidding me?! Gee, might want to ride it after things cool down. Next morning I noticed the handlebars did not align with front wheel. It was crooked. And for the "standard" power wash to clean off all the gunk. They may as well have used a watering can and MAYBE wiped here and there. What a waste of time and money. Don't bother.

I had the chance to stop by Bicycle Bill's today for a tube. In the past I remember trying to visit the shop only to find it closed. They keep very limited winter hours.I came in at about 1pm and was taken aback as I entered the shop. Their main floor showroom was dark and uninviting. I walked toward the light and found myself in the cellar. It appeared as if I were alone. I said "Knock, Knock" and was greeted by a shop guy appearing as if from nowhere. He was helpful and promptly located the inner tube I needed. I paid what I thought was a fair price but declined to pay for the install. He and I discussed the strange wheel. (from a garden cart) He then offered to see if he could just swap the tubes real quick. If took over 15 minutes to make the swap. But the help was greatly appreciated. As I started to offer cash for the help he ushered me to the door.I don't know about bike sales but the service department was great.

Bicycle Bills "Pro-Shops" are not trust worthy. They sold my relatives' bike he had brought in and kept the money to buy drugs. Something shady going On. Might call the cops to investigate. BBB will be hearing from me. Worried that my vulnerable relative was taken advantage of. Shame On them.

Big day today! I bought a Sun Tadpole recumbent trike from Bicycle Bill's in west St Paul! It is a tiny family run business that bends over backwards to do all they can to make a person happy. What is really interesting is that many of what they carry are adapted for adults and children with disabilities! I saw bikes that were amazing. One bike allowed the adult parent to ride in back and the child in the front. Another was a beauty and for someone who has little use of their legs, it pedaled with the hands. Yet another hooked two bikes together to allow them to ride side by side. They were only open from 3:00-6:00 today and there were people all over inside and out. They tune up bikes and modify them for any special needs! Bill spoke of how they bring recumbent bikes to the fair and allow whomever wants to ride them (inside a building) for $3 a ride or 2 for $5. Much more fun than some of the short fair rides! So back to my bike! It is cherry red and has the most comfortable old lady seat and back compared to any chair I've sat it. I think I'm hooked.Right now almost all the work falls to Bryan the son. His parents are seeming to want less to do with it after many years of pouring their hearts into it. Personally, I think if you're interested in working with bikes and have repair or assembly skills you could get hired. We have lost too many family businesses and I want to see this one succeed. If you need anything, please call Bicycle Bill's Pro Shop at 651-457-9111. They are located at 1260 Robert St S, Saint Paul, MN 55118He would love to get something going in the schools where SPED kids earned time to learn how to repair bikes and assemble one they could keep. The reality is that they may not look like a brand new bike, but the kids learn skills that are not only motivational, but provide them with pride in their work and an employment opportunity.Next time you need something for your bike or a new one, head on over. They work on all bikes but I saw Sun, Terratrike and a German model by a company that started with H. Hasse maybe?Stop on over!

Came in to have my bike tires aired up and was told one was flat. Spent $10 on a new tube just for them to tell me it was going to be another $25 to put it on. Oh, and they're cash only; drove to the bank to get a $20 just to be told I'd need to drive back to the bank for $15 more. Shit customer service. To top it all off, my bike tire wasn't flat, they're just incompetent. Bought a $20 bike pump from target that filled it to 80psi. It's been a day and it's still at 80psi. Avoid their small, cluttered shop at all costs.
