Had a magnificent time on a gorgeous pontoon boat when renting this out for daughter's bridal party on the water. The young men helping load and unload were friendly and on point. They have ample parking and you don't have to walk very far to get on and off. Would recommend to others and do it again in a heartbeat.

Do not rent here!!! They do not treat their customers right. We had a rental for a day that rained and stormed. We called to switch our dates per their policy, but they told us we had to drive 40 minutes with 5 kids to the marina to "witness" the rain for ourselves. As the radar predicted, it rained during our rental time and because we were not there to see the raindrops falling, they took our money (over$500), did not offer a new date, and offered no solutions. The supervisor (Joe) then had the nerve to say that we were "on our own" and we were welcome to try and sue him. Unbelievable! They have been reported to the BBB and hopefully you all learn the lesson from us...do not give this company your money! Bad people and bad business.

My wife and I along with a group of 10 other people rented the Beanie's houseboat for a weekend in mid August 2016. When we arrived, they informed us that the houseboat only had one working motor. They told us that we needed to limit our scope of travel by only going as far as the Kickinic state park in the south and the new 36 Bridge in the north. We were bummed out. They offered us a discount of 33% and we happily took it. We ended up having a great weekend. I caught a couple of catfish, we had great fires on the beach, we went off the boat's slide into the river, and generally just had a great time. The one motor thing did not bother us too much, although we had no backup motor. It did not end up being an issue and everything was great.

I was nervous about booking here with all of the poor reviews but took my chances. We went out on 8-9-15 for 4 hours with 10 people. The weather started off great but then we got some rain (no lightning). We anchored and swam while it rained near Lake St. Croix Beach and made the best of it. Traffic wasn't too heavy and the employees made sure we were well aware of markers, no wake zones, etc. The pontoon was in great shape (with the exception of a pretty beat up prop) and served it's purpose of having a relaxing day with friends on the river. There are a lot of younger people working here but they know what they're doing and have clearly been around the water and boats for most of their lives. I don't see the harm in having them do the physical parts of the job (docking, gassing, etc.) or working in the store. They're all friendly and helpful. The only thing to be aware of is that the price listed does not include sales tax (a bit over 7%) which can bring the price up a bit more than expected but this was more so my fault for not reading closely/making assumptions.Overall, we had a great time despite some weather mishaps (which are obviously out of the control of the business) and will likely return in the future. Sometimes you just make the best of it and remember that a day of mediocre weather on the boat is always better than a day at work!

Little kids are basically running this business and it shows. Drove all the way there from Minneapolis twice to rent a wave-runner based on a phone call and when we got there it was gone. They are literally a bunch if 13 year old kids trying to run a business

Most of the workers don't seem like they know what they are doing. Not helpful at all. I tried asking questions to some of the workers and they just ignored me. After the rental, They charged me $250 and didn't even tell me why. I tried calling them and they will not pick up. Not renting from here ever again. Period. Save the hassle and don't rent here.

Visited Beanie's for the first time this last weekend and had a GREAT time. I understand that Beanie's is now under new ownership as of this season, and we had a wonderful experience. The location is very accessible and easy to get to from 94 (we came from Minneapolis to boat on the River) and the service was great. They let us take our own snacks and drinks on board, and everything went very smoothly leaving/returning. The people who helped us were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. I would definitely come here again! I just wish there was more time this summer now that we've found this "hidden gem" :)

Ripoff!!! We booked 4 Wave Runners and received only 3.When we returned back they charged for us for dent when all of our three rented wave runners didn't touch anything else other than water ( moreover, the guy directly went to the same wave runner and on the same spot and didn't bother to check other two.Avoid it.

A short while after this experience I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That went nowhere & it seems a business owner's non-policy regarding security deposits is as good as them being able to make it up as they go. Again AVOID.

I am not an avid boater and was not aware the river was a no wake zone. Beanie's did not inform me that the river was at dangerous levels and the entire river was no wake. They took my money and didn't care.
