Base Camp

We love base camp. We go for our troop's annual banquet. We always have fun! We have plenty of space for our troop. After the banquet the kids play gaga ball, rock wall climbing and archery. The staff is nice and friendly. And there is plenty of parking. We look forward to going every year.

First off I must say, without exception, this is the finest youth organization I have ever been associated with. The leadership resources available are plentiful. The activities are rewarding and the opportunities for youths character growth are endless.

Where to start...I coordinate youth groups throughout the summer (and school year). My staff and I are technically guardians of all the kids in our care. When registering for our program parents sign off giving us permission to go on field trips, etc. for their child.We sent a group to Base Camp today - we were short of our initial total participants so I sent additional kids (11) to make up the difference as refund of the deposit is not available. Why pay for something you wouldn't use/participate in? All parents were notified and I signed the waiver, as guardian, granting them permission. Apparently the staff at Base Camp get to determine who is a guardian and who is not. They would not let 11 kids participate in any activities. Of course then I had to have a bus sent back for the kids. We will never go back again. The staff, particularly Donna, was rude and definitely on some sort of power trip. Don't waste your money, not worth the hassle.

It's a very fun place for school field trips. They have archery and rock climbing it's also got bathrooms and a obstacle course.

Base Camp is an extraordinary place for Scouts and other kids to have a high adventure activity in the middle of the Twin Cities. The staff is terrific and you can even schedule overnight adventures. Many scout troops and other youth groups will use the facilities as a place to stop overnight while on the road to other adventures. If you are leading a youth group give them a call for a list of what activities are available to participate.A side note about the other "review" with one star. The individual posting it has several other reviews that are also one star for other business's. I don't know about their agenda but interesting they spend so much time posting so many poor reviews.

Base camp offers great quality climbing wall, archery, and challenge courses. Staffed by excellent, young adults who are very organized and helpful. Great place for a group of kids to burn off energy and gain confidence.
