On a frigid night when the chill seemed to seep into our bones, we made the spontaneous decision to venture out and meet some friends for dinner and drinks. The excitement of the evening warmed us as we approached the charming establishment, its warm glow beckoning us inside. As we crossed the threshold, we were instantly enveloped in a cozy ambiance. The air was rich with the aroma of delicious food, and the soft music created an inviting backdrop. The décor captivated us, exposed beams and intricate woodwork lent a rustic charm that beautifully blended with modern touches. It felt like stepping into a warm embrace, a perfect mix of comfort and elegance. The ambiance was perfect for laughter and conversations that flowed like the wine we were about to enjoy. Our server, Mitch, was a breath of fresh air. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he immediately made us feel at home. With a genuine smile, he guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations that showcased the establishment's finest dishes. It was clear he had a passion for food, and his excitement made our decisions all the more thrilling. After much deliberation, I decided on the red wine spaghetti with pine nuts, a choice that promised to be both unique and satisfying. When it arrived, the aroma took my breath away, and the first bite was nothing short of revelatory. The flavors danced on my palate, rich and complex, with the buttery pine nuts adding a delightful crunch that perfectly complemented the delicate strands of pasta. It was the kind of dish that made you slow down and savor every single bite.My girlfriend opted for the egg crespelle filled with lobster and artichoke. When hers came to the table, it was a sight to behold. The crespelle was beautifully plated, and as she took her first bite, her eyes lit up. The flavors burst in her mouth--each ingredient was perfectly balanced, and the sweetness of the lobster paired beautifully with the earthiness of the artichoke. We couldn't resist sharing, and the enormous portion sizes allowed us to indulge in each other's choices without the guilt of overordering. Laughter and conversation flowed freely as we dug into our meals, the warmth of the restaurant and the company making for an unforgettable evening. Mitch continued to check in on us, his energy and humor adding to the carefree vibe of the night. With every sip of wine and bite of food, the cold world outside faded away, replaced by the warmth of friendship and the joy of experiencing incredible flavors together. It was more than just a dinner; it was a celebration of the moment, wrapped in the cozy embrace of a perfect, chilly night.

I visited this establishment for a birthday dinner and I maybe had a few so fair warning on the quality of this reviewI thought the service and ambiance was pretty nice. No complaints there. The pasta was good, nothing great. I only say that because I didn't leave with that "wow" factor if you know what I mean. The lamb was very good in my opinion, very hearty, and good flavor. Overall pretty good restaurant especially for a date night. Side note: the valet guys were awesome as well

It's good but it's just super crowded and hard to get in lol. Unless you show up the second they're open and get a table, I don't think it's worth of over 40min wait.We came here for my birthday and the steaks were very good. The gnocchi is just ok, a bit too oily. I feel like gnocchi from Martina is better. And this squid ink pasta is very very salty. I don't know if this is a thing after COVID when chef all lost their senses or it's always been like this. Extremely salty food can't be healthy. I'm a person who has always been a big fan of squid ink anything growing up, but I found this dish hard to swallow. I would also appreciate if there's complementary bread but there was not.Overall it's pretty good but just a little overrated.

I came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were a party of 5 and made a reservation, yet we still had to wait more than 15 minutes for our table and could see multiple tables open. Throughout the whole night, service was incredibly slowwwww (the primary reason for 4 stars instead of 5).Food, on other hand, was fantastic. We started by splitting a couple of appetizer--the bruschetta and pear salad. Highly recommend the salad! I followed with the papperdelle and veal ragu--simple and flavorful. I also got to taste all my friends' dishes and the mushroom agnolotti was a standout!

The entrance was kind of hidden and then you walk into a dimly lit room, it seems like a good spot to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. For started we had the bruschetta and were given the wrong bread order but I ended up liking the bread instead of what we actually ordered which eventually arrived. Our table ordered the braised rabbit, raw tuna pasta dish and I had the crab ravioli. I got to sample them all. For me, the crab ravioli felt like the pasta was undercooked. It was tough to chew. I tasted the rabbit and that was nice, my favorite was the raw tuna with pasta, it seems like an odd combination but it totally worked with this dish and I thought it was great.

Atmosphere is great (though we could smell gas in the area where you first walk in - they were aware of it and assured us that it was safe and we did not smell it at our table - need to get whatever is causing that fixed). Food was delicious, staff was great.First off, we didn't think about the holiday season, so reservations were full online, but they do have some open seating at the bar and when I called the day before, since we were eating early, they made a reservation for us. Sweet! We went downtown early, parked and explored the Skywalk system. So cool! Then we drove to Bar La Grassa. We started with drinks and their goat cheese bruschetta. The bruschetta was awesome and my son's Espresso Martini was one of the best drinks I've ever tasted. Seriously, so good! My NA Nojito was good, but I'm still thinking of the dried slice of fruit in the drink at Gai Noi - really elevated the drink. Next we shared the Ziti with shrimp, the Maltagliati with braised short rib, the Mushroom Taleggio Agnolotti, and a side of collard greens sformato - all were delicious, but all three of us agreed that the mushroom dish was by far our favorite. The ziti needed a little more shrimp, but was very good otherwise.Lastly, although others were tempting, my son chose the tiramisu for our shared dessert after the waitress confirmed that it was a classic tiramisu with ladyfingers and espresso. Wow!! So delicious! I meant only to take a bite, but it was so good that I ate my full share.Definitely can't go wrong with any of these choices. I look forward to another visit soon.

YUM had such a spectacular dinner here. The vibes are awesome - very classy / bar / casual upscale ambiance. I went with my friends mom and we started with the something salad which was fabulous - well dressed with delicious dressing and flavors. We also got the octopus that was good but a little chewy tbh. We got the lobster scrambled egg bruschetta which they're known for (for a good reason) it was spectacular- so yummy and so creamy and crunchy. We got the pickled tomato bruschetta which was good too but not my fave. We got the branzino as our main which was very well cooked and the sunchokes - I was very pleasantly surprised by how much i liked the sunchokes. For dessert we got the cheesecake which was so unique and so delicious. Not your typical cheesecake but i was a huge fan. Our server was also very pleasant and kind and attentive.

I haven't been to bar La grasa in many years so finally got a chance to go back, I ordered the ziti with shrimp and vin santo cream. The noodles and flavor were to die for, although the shrimp was slightly over cooked which was a bummer. We had excellent service our water was very attentive. The aesthetic in there is always cozy and welcoming. We sat at the bar and were able to get a spot right away

I'm sorry, but this place has got to be the biggest upset of 2024 for me, and I dine out A LOT. I found this place on TikTok and saw the plethora of good reviews and I was sooo excited to try it! Talk about a letdown; $150 later, I see this place is not for me. The ambiance is nice; it's very low-lit and would be a great place for date night, but that's where it stops. Our server, Tim W., was fantastic before we ordered, but after, it went completely downhill, and I am still trying to figure out why. He didn't check on us to see what we thought of the food and only came back after we asked another server if we could get our checks because he was MIA the entire night. He came back with an attitude, didn't speak to us, or apologize for his lengthy absence, like nothing. It was veryyy awkward. We tried the Soft Eggs & Lobster, Arancini, Gnocchi w/ Cauliflower & Orange, Gemelli w/Chicken, and Maltagliati w/ Short Rib. EVERYTHING WAS BLAND! How is that even possible??? I couldn't believe it. Where is all the flavor everyone raves about??? Of the items we tried, the Maltagliati and Soft Eggs & Lobster were the best, with some flavor but not a knockout. The worst pick was the Gnocchi, which was highly disappointing because that was what I was looking forward to the most. The manager came by and asked what we thought, and I told her I didn't know if I was catching them on a bad day or what, but this was not appetizing. She didn't really care or try to improve our experience, so that was what it was. Anyways, maybe I'm just too Southern? I don't know but this Texas girl was not moved and will not be back. I hope this helps another foodie like me not waste their hard earned money on a mediocre experience.

Bar top is first come, first serve. We found two spots as soon as we walked in and the couple next to us was paying their bill so it seemed like they moved quickly! Took care of us right away with waters and drink orders. Gave us enough time to decide what we wanted and took our entire order and spaced it out for us. Two bartenders interacted with us throughout the night and helped us decide on drinks and menu items. Both checked in on us, kept our waters filled, drinks flowing and wanted to hear how everything was. Really great attentive staff. Good conversation, great food, and good atmosphere. They were working their butts off and still had time to chat!! Made Valentine's Day dinner great and had our food come out fast enough for us to make the concert we had at the Fillmore!! 4.5 if I could!!
