Baker National is operated by the Three Rivers Park District and it is an excellent facility. Sited inside Baker Park Reserve, you are playing golf in a nature preserve! Spectacular views on virtually every hole. Also, all kinds of wildlife around the course. The golf course is an Audobon certified layout so very environmentally friendly. The course itself is demanding. Lots of 400+ yard par 4s and lots of uphill shots. And there are no houses on the course like so many courses. Greens fees are very reasonable and you can make a reservation on teemaster. Unlimited range balls are included in your fee. Great test of golf in an amazing location!

Baker has a 9-hole, Par 30 course (6 Par 3's with three short-ish Par 4's) plus a full high-quality 18. I've played the 9-hole course (Evergreen) many times with my wife, but only the Front 9 of the National course. The Good: Very reasonable rate for Evergreen, and many times you are able to walk-on. The National course is more expensive, but still reasonable for the Twin Cities. The Evergreen greens are pretty good all-in-all, and the layout provides some decent practice for the casual male golfer with short- to long-distance Par 3's (110-220 yards). The Front 9 of Baker is quite nice with several challenging holes for all but the professional. The driving range is large and grassed. Course personnel are pleasant and service-oriented.The "Less Good": Play can be very slow on Evergreen at times given that it is attractive to the novice and casual golfer. Flooding after big rains is common, especially on the 3rd of Evergreen. The "deep rough" of several Baker holes is also pretty darn wet after a downpour. I found the 6th hole on the National course (a short Par 5) to be a bit contrived relative to the other holes (I still don't know how to play it). The clubhouse is your typical metro park space -- nothing to write home about. The driving range faces into the setting sun and predominant wind direction, which can be a bit frustrating after a while. One of the better courses in the West Metro area.

Not good not bad. Good to support considering it is a profit generator for the Three Rivers Park District. Bad in that the course, while usually in great shape, is TOUGH. You open with a 420 yard par 4. The holes are either uphill with typical distance, or downhill with slightly favorable distance but the greens are guarded generously with bunkers. If you play it, bring you sand wedge. There is a beer card, and there is a clubhouse offering food. There was no water on the course the day I played, so bring a full nalgene.

The Evergreen Course is the Chief of Executive Courses. The rolling hills are spectacular - a bucolic setting you will find no where else in the area. Some long holes that present good challenges. A couple of sand challenges. No water hazards. But the rolling hills and the overall challenges make this the best course of its kind I have played. Will return many times in the future. Fees area reasonable.

Great course...always seems to be overbooked and play is extremely slow. Rangers need to push people along

My wife and I stopped at Baker so she could try out her new clubs. We played the par 3 course because we had a time crunch but I was very impressed! The course was in very good condition, minus a few deep ball marks on the greens. The weather was the only bad part of the day. I will definitely return to Baker but probably wait for a day without 95 degree temps and 90% humidity!

Amazing golf course with incredible scenery. One of my favorites to play in MN around fall time with the changing leaves. A real stunning course. Challenging, but worth it!
