Axel's Restaurants

This review is for Moe's Char House Parking was available but packed, and it was a bit of a struggle to find a spot. The ambiance was okay--not much to stand out. The food was decent but nothing special. We tried the wings, cauliflower pizza, sliders, and flatbread, and everything was just average.The cocktails were also pretty average--not particularly memorable.The saving grace was the service--it was great! The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience better overall.

It's been a while, but I love Axel's Wedge and this time I tried the Axel's burger and fries. Comfort food, assemble!Cook options are offered, so I ordered my big, juicy burger mid-rare but when it arrived it was medium-medium well. I was disappointed but it tasted good. The fries were thick, crispy outside and seasoned well. Wedge salads are a favorite of mine and the house-made blue cheese dressing is just delicious.

We have been long time customers of the old Axels and knew it wasn't long before a change would occur. The remodel is really nice. Very clean, bright and updated.My husband had the NY Strip and I had the Lobster Roll. The service was great, quick. We felt very attended to. Our drinks were a little smaller than the old Axels, but good. The NY Strip was good but not what it used to be at Axels. The Lobster Roll was stuffed! Very filled with tender lobster, light mayo and a little celery. The Brioche roll was a little thick as the usual is more "hot dog bun" style for a Lobster Roll.All in all it was good. Will go back and try more things for sure.

The newly redone Axel's in Chanhassen is a great addition! Moe's food, drinks, and atmosphere are welcoming. Staff is very friendly. My husband loved the BBQ ribs. My steak was done perfectly to my liking - - a rarity. I have to return soon to try all the other wonderful menu items. The only thing I would recommend is offering boneless wings, as well. Great place!

Great local spot, gives us a better restaurant in downtown Chan. Pierogis, seared tuna and wings are delicious. My only complaint is that the spicy margarita is very inconsistent,

In full honesty, the place is pretty mediocre. My father and I came here for lunch and while the ambiance is nice, the food felt subpar. Almost disappointing... I enjoyed their chicken penne pasta in previous years but now being under new management, the menu seems different. I tried the New England Lobstah roll and my father had the burger. Nothing amazing. Not bad, but definitely not worth the price unfortunately.

It's nice to have another restaurant in Chanhassen. I have visited the restaurant three times now since Moe's Char House took over Axel's. The food has been great! Dusted Chicken wings were good and look forward to trying their other flavors. Chicken club sandwich is good size and flavorful. I like that the side options include fruit! The Beet Salad and the Cobb salad were both a hit! Our waitress was very good, when she came around. They are understaffed, but that's not her fault!My only wish is that they could dim the lights a bit. It's very bright.

Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff!! The executive chef came to our table and chatted for a bit and wished me a happy birthday. Also, I was given a complementary birthday dessert! Def will be back :)

Slowly went downhill and then closed this location. Their website turned into a disaster. We have been going there for about 7 years.

It's no longer Axel's. Now called Moes. After decades of going there we probably won't bother going back. Service was good, food has slipped.
