Autumn House Inn

Food: Breakfast is included, and always hearty and filling. I would 100% recommend opting for the 5-course dinner add on. We eat out a lot in the Twin Cities and the food and quality of our dining experience was comparable to a fancy 4-store restaurant. Venue: The inn looks fairly small from the street, but actually opens up (and down) the bluff with absolutely beautiful views. All of the rooms are clean, quaint and spacious. My personal favorite is the Stoneliegh room. It's very spacious with a four person table to eat breakfast (or dinner) at, a closed porch and a two person tub.Experience: Dave and Amy are friendly, courteous and incredibly accommodating. They maintain the perfect balance of being helpful and friendly, while also giving you your space to enjoy your stay. My boyfriend and I have fallen in love with this place; it's truly a hidden gem only 60 minutes out of the cities.

I wanted a retreat with my husband for a night that was not too far of a drive from our home in Minneapolis and this place is perfect. We did the River Cruise in Taylor's falls and then headed over to our B and B. Super tranquil, the Osecala room is large and serene with a nice view from the balcony. It's on the bottom floor of the house. We haven't had breakfast yet, but it's all farm to table and freshly made so I'm sure it will be great. I'm sure we will be back again for a visit and maybe try another room.

This is our second visit to the Autumn House Inn. We enjoyed our honeymoon last year in June so much we came back for our 1st year anniversary. Dave and Amy are great hosts. The view from our rooms (stoneleigh and stillwater) are breathtaking. The jacuzzi's are awesome. In the stoneleigh - you get to lounge in the jacuzzi and view the river. It also has a 4-season porch to enjoy the view from. With the Stillwater room - you get to enjoy the view from your bed! Breakfast is brought to your room and is top notch. When we were there the last time - they made 10 different breakfasts for the guests - Dave asked each what they wanted and he served it up - warm and delicious. Have some food choices you want or don't want - Dave and Amy are happy to meet your requests.Dave and Amy are non-intrusive, something not often found at B&B's. (to the person who gave them a 1 star because they don't honor previous owners gift cards - there is no reason they should. Autumn House is not the same as the Stillwater Inn and is vastly improved and well worth the cost!)We look forward to our next visit!
