This is a gem of a place. Eclectic and filled with a mix of vintage clothing/scarfs/purse/shoe finds, whimsical art, handmade jewelry, paintings, sculptures, great photographs- all which are local artist and you can take things home for a price.I stopped to check out a show that displayed a local photographers work (Gorgeous stuff filled with depth and emotion!) The store has a stunning back room with tall painted ceilings that was perfect for an artist debut.

Ok. A friend of a friend had a opening night photo exhibit here so I made this page, made a Yelp event, all in the hopes of getting people to the show because the photos were that cool. And now a review of the space, because like the photos, this place is that cool and now, I have a better understanding of what it's all about, sort of. So the place has been open for about 5.5 months. A warm inviting storefront with the inside filled with local artist inspirations. Prices range from the Wow! That will look kick ass in my place (for the most frugal shopper) to Wow! That will look kick ass in my place! (for the person with some deep, pockets). Everything that's sold are one-of-a-kind pieces and are quite amazing. From paper mache' sculptures (definitely worth checking out) , New Zealand reclaimed wood tables, low temp fired ceramics, paintings with prices all over the spectrum and of course, photography and more. The cool thing though is that with the gallery owner, Nance, has space in the back which could be used for other events besides showings. Not big events, but smaller ones and obviously you would need to talk to her about what your trying to do but she came off as pretty cool and open to ideas. Nance has history of doing things in the city around the arts scene and if you've been to Macy's for their holiday display, you've seen her work. This part of West 7th (3-4 block area?) is really starting to pop and one could park in the middle and walk around, eat, drink, and shop their way to the different businesses and this place, is definitely worth a stop.

Cute art boutique in a great West 7th neighborhood. I stopped by for the first time the other day, after moving back to the Twin Cities. The first thing I noticed was how well everything was displayed! Some shops like this are packed to the gills and are way too overwhelming. It was so easy to see everything because a) they have just the right amount of items for the space and b) they were beautifully and thoughtfully displayed. It was a pleasure (and easy) to browse the store.Tons of local artists and types of work including paintings, photography sculptures, soft (fabric) sculptures, jewelry, cards and gift items. They also carry a small-but-well-curated selection of quality vintage items including clothing, jewelry and purses. They do regular art shows in their adjoining back gallery and have classes, too. Their mailing list will keep you informed of special events, classes, etc. The owner--Nance--is super-friendly and can tell you a lot about the artists and their work. This is a fun store to get lost in. I discovered some new local artists and bought a few gifts. A welcome addition to West 7th!
