Ann River Winery

While the winery wasn't as classy as some local vineyard I've visited, the space was clean, bright and modern...and the staff was 10 star from my experience! My brother and I decided to hit up all the places listed on the East Central Craft Beverage Trail so we could take notes for places to recommend at our family VRBO up there. We both tend to favor gourmet foodies and foreign red wine; but also really enjoy most of the local breweries and distilleries popping up in MN. We opted for 2 flights of the 6 samples for $6.50 (nice price!!) and compared notes with each other. While we both tend to not really go for white wines, the winner for us ended up being none other than Painted Lady, which was very much a white wine. The wines were better than some of the MN wineries that I've had (keep in mind, I have been a foreign red wine only kind of gal for years- so that is a high bar to meet!). There were a few that were a bit too sweet/syrupy but over all, I was pleased with the tasting and would even consider ordering a few by the glass.Random tidbit- they allow you to snow shoe or cross country ski by the vineyard if you'd like!

Amazing place. Great wine - incredible service and a wonderful patio. We came with a group of 4 and a baby and enjoyed it so much. We had the Charcuterie Plate and one of the pizzas and they were both excellent.Will be back next summer when we head back to Lake Pokegama!!

You wouldn't expect to find wineries around the blink of a town that is Mora, MN. Unexpected surprises are of the best kind. Anne River is really nice, not just because they have great wine and excellent food, but because the staff are friendly and helpful, the locale is comfortable, quiet and clean, and because everything is quite reasonably priced. It's a far cry different from the rest of the noisy and predictable drinking holes in the town proper. For those of you enduring those long lines of traffic through town during various summer holidays, here is a perfect place for you to stop on the way north to take a break from the stop and go driving.

Still as awesome as can be! Seriously, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Winter, spring, summer, or whenever!

Many thanks to my Mom and the Church Ladies for taking us to this cute little gem in Mora MN. It was a cold and rainy night but the warmth of the fire, the decor, the wine, the soup and most of all the owners made it a beautiful night. This is a family owned vineyard with a new tasting room which is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to come back to try the wines again and to enjoy their outside patio in the spring and summer!

Backed-up (slow) food orders, mediocre wines with typical Minnesota grapes, and a combination of bad server communication and misleading website, all make it really hard to justify going back. They need to hire more staff, train them better, get a bigger kitchen, hire someone other than a nephew to maintain their website, and import more West Coast-style grapes. Then I might actually recommend giving it a try.

Amazing winery! Such a hidden gem! Great wine, great service! Came here with a group of friends and we all left with bottles of wine! Definitely our best stop on our tour of wineries in the area! Can't wait to go back!

What a fun place to visit and great wine. The staff couldn't have been nicer. There happened to be a bus tour there the day we stopped and they still allowed us to join the crowd. I know the wives will defiantly make us guys stop again........and in reality it wouldn't take much convincing to do that. Enjoyed the place and of coarse the wine
