Ann Bean Mansion

I recently stayed at the Ann Bean Mansion for the first time on a girls weekend to Stillwater. Our host was so kind and upon arrival, provided us with a glass of wine and a history of the house. We liked looking at all the antiques and photos of the original family who owned the property.We stayed in Cynthia's Room, which has space for 3 people (a large bed and a twin size). The beds were very comfy and the room on the whole is so cozy, what with the electric fireplace and charming decor. The large bathroom was AMAZING and I only wish we had had another few nights to take advantage of the tub! Apparently the Ann Bean is the only true B&B in Stillwater to serve breakfast! And my oh my, it was a good one! We had a light salad, poached pear, and a fancier version of a French toast. It was all delicious! I definitely had room for more so my only feedback was to add one more course or side! Most guests take breakfast up in their rooms but we enjoyed it in the dining room and got to chat with the owner and chef. I recommend coming down and doing the same!The Ann Bean is simply wonderful and the perfect spot to spend a weekend away in Stillwater with friends, partners, or as a family (older kids are allowed)! I will absolutely be back!!

We stayed at the Ann Bean to celebrate our 32nd Anniversary. It was a delightful surprise. We really enjoyed our beautiful clean room, rich history of the home and the delicious breakfast. Maybe one of the best breakfasts we ever experienced. We found out during our visit that the Ann Bean is the only B & B in Stillwater that serves breakfasts. The other B& B's provide a voucher to a local restaurant. We loved staying in the Tower room to enjoy our breakfast. It was like a retreat with a room on fourth floor that overlooks Stillwater. The jacuzzi and shower were so delightful that it was hard to get out. Thanks so much for this additional memory to add to our "favorite" anniversary trips.

Our time was wonderful at the Ann Bean B&B. We stayed in the "Solarium" room and it was beyond beautiful. Beware if you can't do stairs, this one is on floor 3. The tub in this room is what sold us. It filled from the ceiling and soaking in it was a perfect way to relax. It was a wow factor. The jetted shower was also top notch. Amazing room!The bedding was comfortable and high quality. And they provided all amenities in the room. (Fan, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, mini fridge and even a tv if you want). The only downfall was when sleeping with the windows open... the neighbor is outside in the backyard with their dog and they were rather noisy. If windows are closed... perfect!We requested a cheese basket for the room and it was perfect. There was a ton in it and we felt the value was great. Two small blocks of cheese, fruit, box or organic crackers and 3 bars of chocolate. Breakfast was nice and they accommodated to my non meat requests. The berry scone with lemon curd was my favorite. Yums!Thanks again for a magnificent time!

OUTSTANDING!!! My wife and I found the Ann Bean Mansion online when we were planning a trip to Minnesota. WHAT A FIND! We stayed in the E.L. Hersey room and it was wonderful. Jeremy and Erin took such great care of us and the room and Mansion were outstanding. Let me not fail to mention the World Class Breakfasts. If you are headed to the Minneapolis area, go to Stillwater and stay at the Ann Bean Mansion. Truly Delightful.Thank you for making our experience wonderful.

A warm, friendly home, complete with Clementine a cherub toddler. The owners are welcoming, paying exceptional attention to detail both in the house and the preferences of each guest. Down to making sure that breakfast tray include tea. And talking about breakfasts each meal was professionally plated, and tasted divine. The pictures on there website are absolutely accurate. The house has been lovingly restored/ upgraded with spectacular showers and luxurious tubs for a relaxing day. The neighborhood historic houses a easy walk to a historic commercial area, numerous churches all along the river that divides Minnesota and Wisconsin. Spectacular accommodations!! Everything about this B&B was perfect; from the great location, within walking distance to downtown Stillwater, the scrumptious breakfast brought to your room, welcoming hosts and beautifully appointed rooms! There was nothing overlooked! The tower room was graced with a two person jetted tub, a tower space that overlooked the city, comfortable bed, lovey pillows, fireplace...everything was absolutely stellar even down to the toiletries provided (I actually looked up and purchased online before leaving because they smelled incredible!), also one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. Can't wait to go back!

Seven years in a row, we have vacationed at this beautiful bed and breakfast in Stillwater. We always stay for five days in the winter, read books by the fireplace, go downtown for lunch...it's amazing. One year we toured the brewery, one year we toured this historic courthouse...my wife especially loves these vacations because they take care of everything, and we get to have a getaway (without all the travel hours...it's less than an hour from our home!) A+ experience!!!

The jetted soaked tub is such a treat.Porch swing is a great place for a beverage. Quite neighborhood. Close to downtown.

The mansion was beautiful!! The service was so great and the room my wife and I stayed in was lovely. We stayed here on our wedding night and we couldn't be happier. The breakfast was delicious and they were able to accommodate both my gluten-free diet and my wife's vegan diet. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

We had a great stay at the mansion. The room and bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was great as they accommodated our different eating requirements. Brian gave us the history of the mansion and was a wonderful host.
