AMC Coon Rapids 16

You know, AMC is not my top choice - in fact, I actively avoid it because I'm a popcorn snob and I hate their popcorn. I can't remember the last time I stepped foot in AMC and this was my first time at the Coon Rapids one. My friend and I wanted to see Moana 2 and she took the initiative to purchase tickets so we went here for the reclined seats (even though everyone has them now...). Anywho, it wasn't a terrible experience. She chose seats for us to buy tickets in advance and they were nice and the theater wasn't busy. Plenty of parking and everything was clean. Bathrooms are nice. Seats themselves were comfortable, no complaints. They have some vegan options for food too but I always just get popcorn and it was OK. Staff were friendly and efficient, gave me a lil water cup to go with my popcorn no problem. I arrived before my friend and didn't have to show my tickets to anyone, just walked right in to use the restroom and no one batted an eye. She had to hunt someone down just to show our tickets to put her mind at ease. We'll probably be back but not my first choice, no offense, just not my favorite branch of movie theaters. 3.5/5

Made a trip here with my GF and kids at the time and was an amazing experience. We ended up seeing John wick 3. Entering the theatre we were greeted by a very pleasant staff and we place a food order.We went into the teatre and it was expectantly clean. The popcorn and food were great and all 4 of us had an amazing time watching the movie.

We went to a special AARP screening here tonight of the movie Good House. Haven't been to this theatre for a real long time. Reclining seats were nice but when everyone reclined there is no room to get thru. Other theatre's rows give enough space for people to walk by. The movie was a bit heavy but good. Thanks AARP for the evening.

We came to an early matinee viewing and found the movie theatre clean and well staffed. Had to have a giant blue Icee-which did fit into the drink holders at our seats.

My two grandkids and I at the theater on 11/22. One of the kids was having a tough time wanting to split an item and Jouquin came up with the best solution that made everyone happy. Thank you sir!!! And Kyianna was super nice also!! great team you have there in the refreshment bar.

Been awhile since we have been to a movie in a theater I wanted to see the new Top Gun movie. The location is in our neighborhood so it's convenient and I use the AMC app for more convenience ordering tickets and popcorn in advance. I also appreciate being able to secure my seat. The reclining seats are comfortable and we were very happy with our experience. Staff were also pleasant and helpful.

So I was pretty turned off by the prices, the movie that I was seeing had the volume cut off three times and people some people don't know when to shut up during a movie.But the staff made it all better, great customer service and very helpful, I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back.

This place definitely shows how old it is. The seats are torn and dirty, and the parking lot is bad. Felt like hours of commercials before the movie. We were confused as to why we were asked for IDs to watch a PG kids movie with the ticket handler being rude... would rather go to Andover Cinema, as their prices are cheaper, and it as an overall better experience than AMC.

Tiny theaters. (Which could be good if...) Only 5 rows and even though I bought the tickets on-line all that was left for 5 people to sit together was the front row. With only 5 rows I thought the front row couldn't be THAT close to the screen. OMG it was. Not watchable. I felt like I was going to be sick during the previews even though I had reclined my seat all the way. When the last preview was almost over, two of us moved to the only open seats two rows back. The difference was huge. So knowing that, you will have a great experience? If you don't mind the mess. The lobby was filthy. Paying $13+ a ticket with a huge service fee and taxes on top if you purchase on-line, I would hope for a much bigger upgrade in my movie watching experience. The huge reclining chairs were great, but... I will have to think twice before going here again. Lots of trade offs. (And never the front row!)

Expensive (no matinee prices?!), ticket kiosks didn't work, long lines at concessions. I avoid AMC when I can!
