Very professional, very reasonable, did excellent job upholstering my custom build chair. Liked working with them very much. It was a special project and they helped me with recommendation that turned out to be exellent in the end. Strongly recommended.

ReNEW! My couch's bolsters were showing their age: 7 years old is ancient in silk-covered-cushion years! I really like my couch, but cannot cope when things look ratty. As a quasi-environmentalist and recovering hyper-consumerist, I just didn't like the idea of just buying a new couch. Not yet. So, when I saw a 20% coupon for A-1 Foam in a local circular, my bolsters seemed like a great way to try them out. They worked with me to pick a great fabric and then suggested how I could save a few bucks by picking up some remnant trim material at a fabric store. Their work is not inexpensive, but not too costly either. From start to finish took a couple of weeks, but I was just stunned when I saw their handiwork! They are masterful! It's a little nuts, but I now walk around my house looking for things I can take them to renew.

If you're looking for someone to swoon over your choices and make you feel warm fuzzies you should go elsewhere. If you're looking for honest advice and guidance, this is the place for you. Extremely professional and no-nonsense folks. Husband and I came in for some help with a DIY project we were working on. They gave us solid advice, fast service (faster than initially quoted!) and quality products without any sales pitch or condescension. They know their stuff and they're not going to waste your time.

Excellent work Re-stuffing cushions on 20 year old chairs that had compacted and lost it's support. They gave me a few options, let me test them out and once the foam was in, had it done in a couple days. I am thrilled.

A couple of years ago, I was refinishing some Danish Modern armchairs. The staff at A-1 Foam & Upholstery offered so many helpful thoughts and recommendations. They steered me toward the best materials, and showed a wide range of fabrics and foam materials. They made new cushions for my two chairs which turned out wonderful. Some material was left over, so they offered to make matching throw pillows for our couch. This really ties the room together!!The quality of materials and workmanship is fantastic, and regarding the friendly, helpful customer service... Amazing!! Just over a year ago I had the foam replaced in couch cushions and had an 8" HD foam mattress made up. Both have held up remarkably! My lower back is quite troublesome and the products here have been the best for maintaining the support I need. After years of going thru major stores expensive mattresses only to have them sag (where it counts) after just a few months, I'm amazed that this less expensive HD foam has a longer durability!Highly recommend this store. My husband and I stopped in for a quote for reupholstering and to get foam padding. A nice job was done on cutting the foam to size, but the clerk/sales person was very surly and seemed uninterested in our business. Their reupholstering quote was very high, about 3 times higher than another local business.

This is a wonderful business. I knew nothing about what I was trying to do with my worn out couch. They walked me thru different options, explained the difference in materials/costs and now I have an amazing comfy couch that will make myself and any company, happy to be sitting there. They are THE nicest people.

I took my elderly mother into the shop; we were out meeting upholsterers in the area to find the right person to cover three very well made chairs she has had for 40 years. The woman at the counter was abrupt and did not seem interested in our business whatsoever. We wanted to see the business, what kind of work they do and the fabrics they offer. This woman (I don't know who she was but I think she might have been an owner) took my sketches I had done for the last person we had visited, took them back to her partner, scribbled some illegible notes on a paper, said "we're going to be more than her", and that was it. No effort to tell us why their work would be worth the extra money, no effort to show us what they had to offer, no effort to sell their business whatsoever. Are all the upholsters just overrun with business? Do they resent one checking out multiple options? Of the 3 places we went yesterday, only one of them seemed to care one wit about customer service, and I'm going to write her review next!
