After having stood in line for an hour on a foggy, cold perhaps typical Seattle Saturday morning, I have to say, we all walked away underwhelmed and left wondering what all the hype was about. In our party, we got 2 of the ham and cheese sandwiches, 2 orders of fries, a burger, a broccoli salad dish and a salmon rice bowl. The sandwiches were premade, sliced in half and put in these these triangular plastic containers like you'd find in 7-11's refrigerated section. Quite unimpressive. Makes you wonder why you stood in line for an hour. The burger was nothing out of the ordinary. The broccoli salad was meh, I guess the rice bowl was alright but nothing to write home about. All in all, not worth the wait....wish it was better.

Came saturday afternoon and from waiting in line to ordering to receiving our food was about an hour in total. Unfortunately by the time we got there, all the pastries except the cookies were sold out! At least the chocolate chip cookie was solid ..Smoked ham and cheese was pretty good with the wasabi mayo. Saint cheeseburger was actually a bit underwhelming! Thought there'd be more to it.Their lattes are good, I like the espresso. They're pretty light on the syrups though as I couldn't really taste the miso caramel in my latte (although I do appreciate it more over an overly sweetened drink)Cant say for sure if it's worth the hype since a lot of the pastries theyre known for were out so I guess I'll just have to try coming again

The ham and cheese sandwich was mid. The hojicha latte was very hojicha, but I wish they had the option of having sweetener added. The egg sandwich with an added sausage was very good, but $4 for a sausage is crazy!! The ginger cookie was very good and chewy :)

Met a friend for lunch, and he recommended this place. Met a couple people in line that highly recommended the burger. I was quite tempted. But then I saw it... I saw the special sign!I ordered the Char siu I am such a fan of barbecue pork. The bread was soft and delicious and the sauces were amazing. The pork itself was also very good. But I think I was satiating over the idea of a nice slab of fatty tasty pork belly. It was more chopped up, but it was still very delThey also had a really nice selection of bakery items. We sat out on the deck. Not much of a view here but it's still had a nice community vibe.

We ordered from here on a thursday morning. The line was not as long as typical and went pretty fast around 9 am. The store itself is cute and open and good for short meet ups, but not super intimate. The shop smells of fresh bread. We ordered a variety of items. The croissants were fluffy and tasty and the almond filling generous. They are also known for a variety of unconventional flavors such as ginger and black sesame. Their pastries were a little on the salty side which isn't typically my cup of tea so I rated them 4 stars since I usually only like a heap of salt in my savory pastries. However, the black sesame was generously layered with sesame and buttered well. The ginger was effectively flavored and well made if ginger is your thing, but also trended a little saltier. However, all their breads are thoughtfully and well made. The price is about average for most bakeries these days, but definitely at least $4-$5 each. Overall, cute store and they excel at their bread specialty though their sweet pasties have a touch or two of salt. Would recommend a try and their croissants are great!!

I heard there's always a line and it has been showing up on my social media feed. I had high expectations for this place thinking that it must be good since there's always a line. It has a huge sitting area on both sides of the shop, but the ordering counter is pretty small, hence the long line with ordering. I ordered fried egg sandwich with melon pan, melon pan by itself, black sesame bun, and yuzu polenta cake. I got the recommended Thai sausage which was delicious with the egg adding moisture to the melon pan. I tried the melon pan by itself and it was super dry and dense. Similarly, the black sesame bun and you can barely taste the black sesame flavor. The yuzu polenta cake was probably my favorite out of everything I ordered. I like the flavor but need to accompany it with a drink due to the coarse texture. Personally, I don't think it is worth the wait and likely will not return.

Warm, melty, salty chocolate chip cookies straight outta the oven. All the yeses. With a side of sparkling rosé just for fun. We love St. Bread on a sunny day - that breeze off the lake just makes every baked good better.

Remarkably tasty bakery set in the U-District close to the water. The offerings include excellent pastries and breads of various sorts, as well as a number of breakfast/brunch offerings. I was very fond of my cheeseburger served on a flavorful brioche bun and dobutsu-style fries (a play on In 'n Out's animal fries). They also have a number of specialty pastries that change on a regular basis. This recent Easter weekend, for example, they served hot cross buns. The weekends can command impressive lines, but they are worth the wait. Surprisingly, too, given both the location and the nature of the fare, the prices are also extremely reasonable. My only very mild complaint is their coffee. It is good, but it might have a bit more character.Overall, I can't think of a nicer spot in Seattle to enjoy a brunch on a pleasant Spring day.

First time reviewing Saint Bread, but this business has been a staple for me! They are a perfect location if you're looking for a fun selection of delicious pastries and a coffee. On weekends the line can get long, but it's always worth it. It's par for the course. I went on a Thursday morning and walked right in, but as I sat on the patio enjoying my treats, I saw the line had begun. They have covered outdoor seating that has bench tables as well as a few overhead heaters. They always have a great revolving selection of pastries while also sticking to some staples. I like the yuzu polenta cake. It's nice and hearty with good texture with just the right amount of sweetness! They serve Proud Mary coffee which makes for a fantastic cup. You really cannot go wrong with what you order here! You'll want to come back for more :)

overall (3.5/5): I would come back again to try some of the other pastries, but the ones I got were just okay.food (3.5/5): I got the cardamom twist and the black sesame bun. the cardamom twist was denser than I expected, but it was flavorful and spiced well. the black sesame bun was a bit sour? I think it came from either the sesame on top or the glaze because eating just the inside was fine. the sesame flavor was not that strong compared to the sourness, so it was a bit off-putting.service (3.5/5): I went at 9:30 AM, and the line was already quite long. I ended up waiting for about 40 minutes.ambiance (4/5): there is outside seating, and the sun that day shined beautifully on the food! might be cold though if you come in the winter.
