LOVE LOVE LOVE Saigon Deli. The owner is SO sweet. I originally came here because we ordered for here for catering with one of my college groups, and their banh mi was SO GOOD. I come here by myself sometimes and get a banh mi or spring rolls. I'm sure their pho is good too. If you order over the phone it's easy for pickup. Tip: bring cash so you don't have to pay the credit card fee. Tbh even with the credit card fee it's still pretty cheap. So much bang for your buck!!!

Came here for dinner and ordered a Bun with beef & eggrolls. I really liked the dish overall and how everything inside went well together. I liked the beef seasoning and how flavorful it was. Service was quick and it was not busy.

The lady working here is so sweet! This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall type spot, and we almost couldn't find it when looking for it. The inside is quite small with a few tables put closely together in the room, and the entire space is all tight. I ordered the pork banh mi, which came on a toasted baguette with marinated pork, pickled radish and carrot, and a couple other classic toppings. The pork was delicious - super well marinated, tender, and mixed with the mayo made the sandwich super good. There weren't enough pickled veggies as I would have liked, but of the amount there it was good. We also got an egg noodle soup which was great too - the broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. For a quick bite, I would definitely recommend this spot! Nothing super mindblowing, but a solid place for food.

The beef pho broth was incredibly rich and tasty. According to the owner, who served us, it doesn't contain msg. This is a great mom & pop spot with excellent food and decent prices.

Saigon Deli is a hole in the wall restaurant, located in University District near UW. It is a hidden gem with good prices and good food. I used to frequent this place more often when I lived in the area, but after moving away it's been a while since I stopped in. However, after stopping in today I was reminded of how much I liked their food and how sweet the staff is. I got a bun bo hue, with vietnamese coffee. The bun bo hue is a bit different from what I am normally used to back in LA. I remember the lady mentioning it's inspired by the part of Vietnam she came from. The broth is deep, flavorful and just the right amount of spice. It came with sliced beef, cha lua (vietnamese meatloaf typically wrapped in banana leaf), bean sprouts and onion. The soup was nicely flavored with lemongrass. When ordering the food, it only took about 7-8 minutes to come out, so this place is perfect to grab a quick bite in between classes! They have a good amount of indoor seating, but from past experience, they can get pretty busy. They also do takeout through online ordering and by phone. Today, my total for both the bun bo hue and coffee came out to $20.34 with tax, which is pretty good considering the inflation of ave food recently. I have also tried their #18 - bun (rice noodles) with shrimp, charbroiled pork & eggrolls. It comes with lettuce, bean sprouts, pickle carrot, crushed peanut & the bun fish sauce. You can also add spicy and lemongrass (which I would recommend)! This is another one of my favorite dishes from this restaurant. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a decent prices and easy place to eat in University District! :)

Pretty happy about my order. Lots of meat and great friendly service. The porkchops were not overcooked. Why do most places ALWAYS overcook the porkchops?

Delicious food! Very quick service. The ambiance was very chill and clean. We started with the banh mi as the appetizer and that could've been the main course. It came out so fast and the bread was perfectly crunchy. The pork had warm hoisin marinade that was del ious with crispy veggies. The ratio as perfect and I was very satisfied by the end of the sandwich I couldn't even finish my chicken pho. I did sample the broth and it was delicious! Great price and will be returning, ready to try more

This place really doesn't look like much from the outside, but step in and you'll taste one of the best banh mi's you can get in the area.I always get the grilled pork banh mi which I believe is around ($7.50). It used to be cheaper (and the original price is still on the menu) but once you get rung up it's a bit more than that due to a recent price change. Regardless, it's super tasty and fresh every time and their bread is always the perfect amount of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I did have to knock a star though because the meat is sometimes a hit or miss where it's sometimes way too salty, and they don't fill the sandwich much at times.I've tried some of their other dishes previously but the banh mi is what really gets me to come back. I highly recommend ordering ahead for takeout as it can get a bit crowded inside at certain hours and bringing cash since they charge a fee for cards if your order is under $10.

Looking for a tasty and cheap banh-mi? This is your place to go!! For $8 you'll get one of best tofu banh-mis out there! The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but will always be decently crowded on the inside (based on my trips). The staff is very nice and friendly. Would recommend checking out this gem in UDistrict!
