The Puerto Rican food is the best in the state of Arizona. I drive an hour and half for this tasty cuisine. I've had almost everything on the menu and I can't say anything bad. Always flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service is always great! They make you feel like family,so personable and accommodating. You can have a seat at the bar,an intimate dinner or large partiesThe decor is tasteful like the food

I'm happy to see downtown Glendale once again revitalized by a surge of new businesses. Saguaro is in Cuff's old location, and they do a much better job of utilizing the space. What I loved: Trivia night! On Thursdays. Me and my friends had never done one of these before, and walked away with first place (I know a LOT of random facts). The questions can be tough, and having an old British guy as the host makes it even more fun. The room in the back really makes it feel exclusive, too. If you didn't come here for an event, you'll hardly notice one is there! What I liked: Good booze selection. Absolutely loved the San Tan brews on top--you don't see that too often in the west valley! Those Juicy Jack IPAs kept me feeling smart. Overall, the location is great, the venue is spacious, and the service can handle large groups. This is a great place to socialize, and the sort of spot that can draw you back to the valley's most underrated neighborhood.

The Saguaro Grill is a little casual American restaurant and bar located in Old Town Glendale. It's very charming and clean looking inside. It looks like it has been around about 100 years. The person that served us was extra nice and seemed very good at her job. The food was extra average but slightly below average if that makes any sense. Like maybe something a non-foodie neighbor or relative would serve.I tried the grilled salmon with beurre blanc. It was a generous piece of fish that was almost dry, slightly fishy (but not as bad as Safeway Fish), and missing the beurre blanc. They were out of green beans today so broccoli was substituted. The broccoli had salt, pepper and butter on it but also had a strong broccoli taste today so it wasn't real great. I was sort of was excited to try spaghetti squash as a side but it didn't taste delicious even with salt pepper and a little butter.....it was in desperate need of almost anything to flavor it. Usually when you get spaghetti squash they dress it up with something to make it taste good.My husband got a cup of chili that he said was ok.He also tried the filet steak salad. The steak was cooked right but was served when it cooled off so that was odd or mis-timed? The salad was extra light with the blue cheese crumbles and red onions. The menu reads mixed greens but seemed mostly spinach. The dressing was hard to taste because it was extra mild and extra lightly dressed.2 stars it could have been better. It would be very easy to improve the food. Cook the salmon less and there are more delicious ways to cook the same vegetables. The beef would be better served warm and the salad needs a little more onions and blue cheese to taste better.Maybe I just hit them on an off day?

Decide to try some where new. It wasn't busy, the service was great and friendly. The French dip was good. I would order again. My wife had the salmon. She said it was good. She would give 4 out of 5 stars. We will be back to try other items.

Saguaro grill was such a nice surprise in downtown Glendale. The theme is reminiscent of the 50s meet industrial wild west. The horseshoe booths and the unique bar give off all the best vibes. We celebrated my friend's daughter's birthday and stop in to cool off and grab lunch. Burgers and the chili cheese fries were high quality and delicious. They even make homemade whip cream to top their deserts. We had one of their specialty cocktails the Blueberry Bourbon Smash and it is one of the best Bourbon Smash drinks I have had. The only thing better than the food and drinks was their customer service. Setiva was so welcoming and helpful. When we were done one of our phones was accidentally left behind. We called and Setiva told us she was about to run down the street looking for us since we told her we were shopping downtown.I can't wait for fall to come to take advantage of their cute and private patio in the back. It's so nice to have quality restaurant hangout spots that are locally owned back in downtown Glendale.

Ambiance is cute and small. The music is superb if you're into indie music. I think gracefully the management handled their water and soda fountain not working. Offered me water after they went to the store to get water bottles. That is consideration we need back in these service roles. I appreciate the people who take those initiatives. But now let's talk food. I ordered the pulled pork sliders. And wow. The bread was soo good the brioche mini slider buns. Delicious they added pickles to the sandwich and that helps cut through the sweetness of the BBQ sauce. My partner got a French dip and it was so damn good. They actually used actual prime rib and the auju sauce was also In house made and you know that it was made today. ALSO they have in and out fries cut in house! Really cute place for a quick bite if you are up in Glendale

The best part of our dinner was our server Sophia. I ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich. The meat was not even close to shaved it was 1/4 inch thick and loaded with fat and grizzle. The bottom bread of the sandwich was soggy and impossible to eat if fell apart. I ended up eating less bread which is a good thing but not what I ordered. We had the baked wings which were great along with crème brûlée for dessert.

We ordered the French dip, chili, ribeye, and kids chicken tenders; everything was awesome! My favorite was the French dip: amazing flavor, tender meat, and the bread toasted perfectly for texture and dipping. Plus I got my comfort food fix with a side of some real deal mashed potatoes. The service was above and beyond. Each of the staff were very attentive, personable, and helpful! We will definitely be back... and this next time, determined to make it to dessert for that crème brûlée.
