Safeway - Belfair

Shout out to Jillian in the fuel station for counting out my change and not turning me away to get gas! I appreciate your time and dedication to her work! You are awesome and deserve a raise and a bonus!

Great place for gas and groceries on the way to Mason lake or the Olympic peninsula. Great produce, and everything is easy to find. I found an expired sour cream yesterday, so there may be some errors in stocking product. Make sure to check !

The Belfair Safeway has a good selection of pre-made and ready to-go sandwiches, salads, and other deli items. I stopped here to get something between a snack and a meal and found one of their half sandwiches did the job of filling me up to hold me over until dinner perfectly. This was a stop in mid afternoon with a dinner in the evening. Aisles and entrances were clearly marked with expectations and instructions for shopping and adhering to social distancing to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. Service was warm and efficient.

Shopping for groceries is no issue, employees are meh. But the deli cooked food is absolutely disgusting, do NOT eat the food there. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. It was a mistake spending money on various dishes to serve the entire family. The chicken and other poultry/meats were smothered in sauces to try and cover the fact that they was SO dry. If you order the pathetic "chow mein" noodles, they are bland, no flavor, and somewhat hard as if the deli cooks did not fully cook the pasta. I had to throw some of it out. It's all making me feel nauseous and sick, likely from all of the foods being way overcooked and isn't fresh. Shouldn't be serving this vile stuff to people.

I go to Belfair QFC over this Safeway, and every time I go to this Safeway I am reminded exactly why that is. They have a very limited selection of brands when it comes to a lot of their products. It's always Safeway Brand and only one other to choose from, so there is No Variety really. They also removed the "self check out" lanes recently and replaced them with "12 items or less" ... "Speedy Checkout" lanes that are always the longest line now. It went from 4 different check outs being available at any given time down to only 1 a majority of the time.

The prices may be higher than a Winco or Walmart but the quality and selection of foods make it worth shopping here. I haven't met a grumpy employee yet and folks are generally friendlier in this little town than in Bremerton or Silverdale. I have always loved to bake lots of Christmas goodies but was a little frustrated, trying to get all ingredients in one place. After going to three other stores, I discovered that everything I needed was here all along! The other store in town didn't even have something as simple as a good assortment of flavorings called for in a lot of Christmas recipes. This is now our go-to grocery store in Belfair.

Aside from the long pharmacy lines, I think this Safeway is gouging the customers with outlandish prices. I can drive 4 miles further and save so much more then when I shop at this store. It is close to where we live, however I only buy there as a last resort.

Not worth my time......don't come there if your a minority they hate .....one old white cashier tried to make my mama mad....didn't work.......so shout out if your a people of color......they don't like......p.s the curbside customer service isn't worth jack shit.....they rude as hell

Another cake from the bakery department but this one TASTES LIKE METAL. A chocolate birthday cake that tastes like metal....and frosting. Is that scary, or what?!?! Finally some decent staffing in numbers, there's always people in Safeway garb goofing off outside the offices and out where they smoke. The flowers have a good selection and good balloon stuff. Probably the best in town for year round flowers and fluff... it's on the expensive side though. But after seeing the refrigerated items waiting and waiting to be stocked, the flies wrapped in the cellophane on the meats, having to watch expiration dates of stuff coming off the shelf???? Flowers are all you got going for you at this Safeway.
