This place never disappoints. Perfect for large parties, small parties and quieter nights. I always love this place as a solid choice. I prefer the downtown location for the vibe but UV ambiance is lively and love the beautiful bar and the patio during nice weather. **Big fan of the Blackberry Margarita pitcher.***Love all of the tacos...yea, have tried them all! Enjoy the CEVICHE DE GUAYMAS and the SPICY MARGARITA! Recommend!

Loved the vibe and the food at Zocalo. It was our first time there and when the servers found out they went out of their way to welcome us and bring us a sample to try -- mini conchinita pibils which were so yummy. My friend decided to changed her order from fish tacos to a full portion of this but it was too late. So instead they brought us another sampling! I had the tostadas de carnitas and they were amazing. Smaller portion but I was full from the samplings. Love Zocalo! Will return when I'm in the area.

Zócalo seems like a Sac classic at this point. I know the menu is going for "modern" Mexican food, but honestly it didn't live up to the hype for me. We ordered chilaquiles as well as a vegetarian burrito bowl. The chilaquiles were good, but nothing extraordinary. The burrito bowl was simply boring. They did have a mix of veggies in the bowl but the whole thing severely lacked in flavor/seasoning. The best thing about our experience was definitely the decor and the service. Everyone was very nice and friendly. But, our main focus is always the food - and that simply didn't live up to expectations.

There was six of us and I promised myself that I would take pictures but it looked so good that we dove in to fast. The kids had off there menu pancakes and quesadilla the older boys had quesadillas and steak and beans and rice and Andrea had burritos and I had fish tacos they all was very good and are gone. Layla was our waitress and took good care of us. Always checking back for any of our needs. The place is always well taken care of and looks great

It's been a year between visits, as we do not live in Sacramento, and it is still excellent. I did have some difficulty with parking as the shopping center lot was pretty full during this lunchtime and watch out for the Safeway 30 minute parking limit spots. The restaurant was pretty busy so we sat at the bar. We received immediate service. The chips and dip showed up, we ordered drinks and then lunch. We ordered a Shrimp Quesadilla meal and the Carnitas Tacos. The food was very tasty and the portions generous. The Quesadilla is prepared rolled up so the presentation is unique. The ambiance upscale and trendy with large stone tables and blown glass chandeliers. Come for the food as it's always delicious!

I have nothing but great words to say about Zocalo! The one on Howe and the one in downtown permits great and fast service. The ambiance is a chill vibe and the food has a vast selection to choose from. Oh and their famous blackberry margs is to die for! Definitely will go back. Worth trying out!

Went to Zócalo over Valentine's Day Weekend and had an incredible experience! The fish tacos are the best in town. The entire staff is 5-star. The bartender sent over their famous lovebirds margaritas for my wife and I on the house. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go again!

Great service! The restaurant looks beautiful inside.We ordered the Baja fish tacos and wow they were soooo good!! It comes with beans and cilantro lime rice.

Shoutout to our waiter Mia, you were the highlight of our night!I had the pleasure of visiting Zocalo for a date night, and it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was absolutely beautiful--the decor is so lovely and immersive, making the evening feel extra special.We started with the chips and salsa, and they were incredible--bold, traditional flavors that set the perfect tone for the meal. For our entrées, we enjoyed the QUESADILLA OAXACA and ENCHILADAS ROJAS, and every bite was delicious. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity in every dish.A special shoutout to Mia, our waitress, who was so kind and welcoming. She made sure we were well taken care of and added to the overall great experience with her attentive service.We definitely prefer this location over the other one because of the exceptional customer service and easy access to parking. Highly recommend Zocalo for a wonderful dining experience!

Food was delicious and my mother is a tough customer.Service was great.Ambiance the best.Highly recommend this place for all your special celebrations.
