Zacharias Park is located in the Pocket/Greenhaven community of South Sacramento and is part of the City of Sacramento Department of Parks & Recreation. The park was named after Ellsworth C. Zacharias whom was a former land owner in the pocket/Greenhaven area. The park sits behind the pedestrian bridge over-crossing and can be easily over missed.This neighborhood park sits along side the Sacramento River, giving local residences an opportunity to fully utilize the bike trail along the Sacramento River. Some of the other amenities are : a large open space, picnic tables, benches and BBQ's scattered throughout the park, , a full soccer field with goal post, play area for older children as well as for the younger children, plus an walking/biking trail leading to and from the Sacramento River.Quite neighborhood park ideal for morning/evening walks / week-end picnics / soccer games / or just taking your dog out for a walk.
