Came in on a Sunday around 6:30pm. First impressions - wow it's muggy in here.... The booth seating is very small, oh they have an open cleaning station...We started out okay, the ribs were the best, cheese wontons being a second best. Some items didn't have flavor like the fried chicken or sushi... the miso soup tasted sour.. I didn't like having to reach over other soups to get to the miso soup...It was my first time having a sushi roll with eel bones still in... I thought I had removed them all once they were felt, but then I went to swallow and I got poked in the very back of my throat. Ouch. That was the last food item we ate. We got dessert afterwards to call it a night. The floors were slippery where there weren't carpets....There's just a lot of things to list that could be better. I know they just opened, but I'm hoping they're able to change some things to better the experience. The girls working were very kind and sweet and helpful. Our drinks were never empty and we never had an empty dish sitting on our table. That was definitely a positive!

Visited New Years Eve. The food was very good and service of refilling food into the pans was on it, before the pan was empty on most items. Taking away used plates they were on it. Refilling drinks they were on it. I was shocked at the carving station it was self serve. That was just a huge mess for people to try to cut themselves. I was however very uneasy and nervous on my visit. It appears the ventilation is not real good in the building and the moisture from the steam tables was making the floors very slick. No visual water spilled. Even when I went into the restrooms the floors were slick again now spills or over flows. I have experienced many buffets all around the US and never came across this type of issue. My mother is very far with dementia and is slow moving and walks with extreme caution. But, I was still worried she may slip and fall the whole time we were there. I personally hope the new owners may see this and think about adding something over the cement floors like paint with sand in it. Actually I am shocked the CA OSHA passed them on the inspections with the amount of moisture in the air to how moist the floors became. This alone will keep me from going back to this restaurant.

I've wanted to try this place ever since I heard about it. It's the former Japanese buffet, that's across the parking lot from the citrus Heights Sam's Club on Greenback. I came in at 2:30 on a Saturday, and it was busy, but not overly so. The place was very clean. The people were friendly. You walk in, you are seated, and they take your payment after you eat. Overall, the food was very good. I forget the number, but there were quite a few number of serving lines. because it was Saturday, they had the dinner menu all day, so the menu was expanded. The food temperature was very good, which can be a challenge at a buffet. They had a very good selection. They had a Mongolian barbecue, including shrimp as one of the proteins. They also had steaks available to grill. They had a large number of Chinese selections. They had a peanut butter chow mein, which I liked. They had four different kinds of soup. They also had American selections, such as pizza, fried chicken, and french fries. They had a very large selection of seafood, including shrimp several ways, including coconut shrimp, which I absolutely love. They had baked fish, which was very good. They also had crawdads. The sushi section is very large, it was well stocked, and it included three different types of sashimi. They also had baked oysters, as well as raw oysters on the half shell. They had a nice salad bar, and a good dessert section, including cakes that they actually keep in a cooler to keep them fresh. The one thing I did not care for, was a roast beef/prime rib. It was on a do it yourself carving station, which I felt was a bit unsanitary, To me, it was tough, and it did not taste very good. I actually had to spit it out. That saying, that's the only thing I did not like on the menu. Everything else was great. Even it being the dinner menu, the price was extremely reasonable. If you are over 65, you get a 10% discount as wellI like this place. I will be back. Thank you..

Great new buffet in Citrus Heights at the Sam's Club complex. Very attentive staff and it was busy on a Friday night. The food were constantly replenished, great sushi and sashimi selections, the Mongolian grill section was amazing, there were lots of fruits, and ample desserts.

I was craving steamed oysters and No.1 buffet in Sacramento prepares them properly. Not overcooked and oysters aren't mushy, meaning not fresh. I decided to gives this place a try, since they offer raw and steamed oysters. I was pleasantly surprised that they had similar texture and freshness as No.1. I wasn't thrilled with the sauce they put on the oysters, hot oil with garlic, but I got used to the taste after eating a few of them. I did not eat anything that was offered for their lunch service. The dinner menu has quite a bit of seafood, so it was worth the 8.00 difference. I went on Sunday at 11am and it wasn't busy until around 1pm. It wasn't crazy busy where the trays ran empty and people were elbow to elbow. I'm glad I now have an alternative place to eat at a good seafood buffet with oysters, saving me a long drive to Sacramento. I most definitely would eat here again for dinner.
