During the holiday, I had the pleasure of dining at Yue Huang in Sacramento, and I must say, it was a great experience. I was extremely excited to try this place because is renowned for its exceptional dim sum, which has earned it a Michelin rating. The dim sum was delightful, with each dish showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The dumplings were fresh and steamed to perfection, and the variety of options ensured that there was something for everyone to enjoy. The highlight of my meal was the Peking duck was a tasty dish. The duck was perfectly roasted, with crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. The flavors were rich and savory, making each bite a delightful experience and served with traditional accompaniments like bao buns and hoisin sauce. War wonton soup broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of savory. The wontons were generously filled and cooked just right. The addition of fresh vegetables and tender slices of bbq pork/chicken added to the overall satisfaction of the dish.Overall, the Peking duck at Yue Huang is a must-try for anyone visiting Sacramento. The combination of excellent preparation, delicious flavors, and beautiful presentation makes it a memorable dish that I highly recommend.

First time here having lunch with friends. The restaurant's entrance has a very nice display of Asian art to prepare customers for the beautifully decorated restaurant interior. Service was a bit distracted, but once we gained their attention, the service was good. The menu was interesting and with items a little different from the usual Chinese restaurant fare. We ordered 4 dishes for the 4 of us to enjoy, family-style. The food was all very delicious! The meal was pretty amazing, overall. I look forward to dining here again in the future.

We missed dim sum by an hour or two! We stopped by at 4 pm on our way home to Reno. So we browsed through the dinner menu and chose the mapo tofu with pork, spring pea shoots with garlic, and garlic noodles. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations! We love mapo tofu as a dish and agree that this was the best version we've ever had. It is delicately spiced. Like, it's a mystery to me how one can balance all the complex flavors. We were fighting over the last bits of sauce, which we spooned over the rice so as not to waste any of the deliciousness. The spring pea shoots were perfect. They were bright green and well cooked. Just delicious and healthy! I was surprised by the garlic noodles. It's not the official name of the dish but it's on the last page of the menu. It looks simple but it also had very savory flavors and the little mushrooms and yellow onions were a delicious surprise. Service was fine. Not overly friendly, and we could get extra things when we needed it. The restaurant is decorated nicely. I imagine that it would be fun to go for dim sum, which we plan to do very soon!

Loudness: 81 decibels. Lunchtime with almost 100% occupancy.I love this place! We got here around 1pm on a Saturday and had a minimal wait. We ordered hot tea and four dim sum items: bbq pork bao, shrimp steamed dumplings, pork friend dumplings and broccoli. Everything was delicious. Perfect sized portions for two of us. Prompt and polite service. Will return!

This dim sum restaurant is located in a busy plaza. Finding parking is difficult and the spaces are small. The food was tasty but not as warm or fresh tasting as push cart style dim-sum. We also ordered salty fish fried rice with a side of XO SAUCE (small container $3, very pricey). Delicious by the way. I do hate that they don't have chili oil and instead use the red chili container that is lacking in spice. It is more vinegar than spicy. Most dim sum places have the chili oil that you mix with soy sauce to dip with your dim sum. Other than that, most of it was pretty good.

Updating my review from last time! This is now one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. It had great dim sum choices and for dinner. The dim sum options were all spectacular and fresh! I usually prefer the carts but I like how fresh it it since it's made to order. The hot and sour soup is really good during dinner too! Service is fast and sometimes you have to raise your hand and flag down a staff

I found out about this restaurant from the Michelin guide and happy to see that the dim sum game is going strong. Their dim sum is hot and fresh! Unfortunately they did forgo the dimsum carts which I really enjoy from a traditional dim sum restaurant. I do like that it is more English friendly since their menu has photos to each item making it easy to order what you want to try. Unfortunately the service wasn't great since they never told me that certain items were out until I asked, they missed two of my dishes, and never came to refill my tea or water. Nonetheless the food was good but service is terrible.

Dim sum at Yue Huang is a feast! Just maybe go with a bigger appetite than I did because we definitely over ordered! The Har Gow was really good. I don't normally order chicken feet, but I tried that and also liked it. I also really liked the sticky rice in lotus leaf and the fried taro dish. It was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of savory fillings. The char siu bao (BBQ pork buns) were soft, fluffy, and stuffed with sweet, smoky pork.Everything we tried was really yummy, and even though we went a little overboard with ordering, I'd happily do it again. The portions are generous and the flavors are spot on. Whether you're a dim sum newbie or a die-hard fan, Yue Huang is a winner! It was a really nice meal after eating lots of thanksgiving turkey the night before!

Yue Huang is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento! As many times as I've been here, I've never written a review because I'm always too focused on the food and hungry! The moment you walk in, the delicious food aromas fill the air, and it's hard not to get excited. Is there such things as food excitement? This time, we started with the sweet and sour pork (no bones). The coating on the pork was perfectly fried and seasoned, and the sauce had the right balance of sweetness with a hint of pineapple. Even the onions and green bell peppers were flavorful. One of my all-time favorite dishes here is the BBQ pork fried rice. The rice is fluffy, flavorful, and just perfect every time. Our go-to soup is the hot and sour soup, and Yue Huang absolutely nails the flavor! It's comforting and perfectly seasoned. Lastly, another favorite of mine is the duck with bao buns. Since it was just me this time, I ordered the half duck. The buns arrived warm, and while the duck could have been hotter, the skin was incredibly crispy, seasoned to perfection, and so delicious! The service here is always amazing and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Overall, Yue Huang is a must-visit for delicious food and great service. It's easily one of my favorite spots in Sacramento!
