Yi Long Dumpling

This hidden gem inside a shopping center may not be in the most inviting area, but once inside, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the service is welcoming. We were greeted right away, and our dining experience started off on a great note.We ordered a variety of dishes, including pork soup dumplings, pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, walnut shrimp, beef chow fun, fried shrimp balls, garlic vegetables, and salt & pepper chicken wings. Almost everything was delicious, with authentic flavors and well-executed textures. The dumplings were juicy, the walnut shrimp was perfectly balanced between crispy and creamy, and the beef chow fun was flavorful and well-prepared.The only downside was the salt & pepper chicken wings. While they were crispy and plump, they were a bit too salty for our taste. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning!

*** UPDATED REVIEW***What a difference new owners make! Everyone was craving Chinese, and no one wanted to hit up our regular spots, so I figured let's give Yi Long another chance. Wow! So delicious!! What we ordered:Sesame balls. Delish! There's only three per order. You'll want more! Shrimp, pork, chive dumplings. It's an extra dollar for pan fried. Not worth it. Keep in mind, these weren't my favorite. More chive than meat, and the pan fried, was closer to burnt. Sweet & sour pork, tasty and thankfully not filled with a ton of onions and bell peppers. Made well, and worth trying. The sesame chicken. - I'm the only one that was iffy about it. Definitely tasty. The sesame noodles. Tasty. They are a thinner noodle. They would have been tastier if they weren't so dry. Bbq pork bao bun- three to an order. Great texture and filling! Definitely delish and a must try. I'm so glad that I have Yi Long another chance! I'll be back soon.

So glad to have happened upon this restaurant after taking a trip up to Sacramento area. Yup Long Dumpling is located in a shopping plaza (so plenty of shared parking with other locations) and is actually a lot bigger inside than it looks on the outside. We were sat down quickly for a Sunday afternoon and our server was very attentive to our needs bringing us water and menus right away. We ordered several different types of dim sum, tried the hot and sour soup, and got an order of beef pan fried noodles. I will say the hot and sour soup was a little bland, and the chilli wontons could've been spicier. But that could just be me and my group's spice tolerances. Other than that, everything we ate was DELICIOUS. It was all freshly made, not too greasy, and it totally hit the spot for our dimsum cravings. Not sure when we'll be back in the area but if we ever are this is a spot I'd be more than happy to come back to and try more yummy food.

Beats driving to South Sacramento. You can watch them make dim sum, love that experience! No cart experience here as the place is tight. Only bigger tables have the lazy Susan, 4+. Would love to come back to try more of their entrees and less of their dim sum next time around. Dim sum was decent.

Found this place on yelp and wanted to give it a try. Seen the reviews and looked really authentic and delicious. We ordered shu mai, beef roll, spicy wontons, pan fried dumplings and xiaolongbao soup dumplings plus egg tarts to go. Everything was so delicious and fresh, made to order. We have gone to a few other dim sum places nearby and this place is by far better than any of the other ones around. You can see them making dumplings in the back. It's a very intimate family owned restaurant. I love that their food is so delicious. Everything was amazing. The waitresses were friendly and kind. I highly recommend. The location is in the bel air plaza closer to the Popeyes. I will definitely be back. This is my new dim sum spot.

Service was fast and friendly. Soup dumplings were good (not the best I've ever had but pretty good). Green beans with chicken were good and big servings. Steamed salted egg buns were delicious! Surrounding area/parking lot was super sketchy (lots of loitering people around at their cars, etc) but overall good!

Dined here for dinner and got disappointed. The utensils and plates were not thoroughly cleaned, some dishes were either bland or too salty and the drinks lacked flavor. The service was okay and our food got served fast.

The food at this place is top tier. You walk in and sit with nice music and the portions are generous and this is some of the best food I've had in a long time. Service was quick and very nice and again I cannot stress how delicious the food is. We got the chicken fried rice and the combo chow mein and both are a delicious classic. We also got the xiao long bao and they are some of the best I've ever had and I've tried more than my fair share. We also got the dumplings in red chili oil and they are the perfect combo of spicy and fresh with whole shrimps and pork inside. I'm from LA originally and grew up with delicious Asian food and this place reminds me of home in the best way. 15/10 would recommend

Love this place, the many few times I've been here it never disappoints! Food was amazing as always! My favorites had to be the chili oil wontons, the XLBs, and the salt and pepper wings, a few Chinese dishes you can't go wrong with! Every dish was seasoned to the right flavors overall super delicious! Service was amazing and workers are friendly and informative! Restaurant was busy for dinner but food still came out quickly, and staff was super attentive. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend to try! Also enjoyed seeing the workers roll up some dumplings as it is homemade and fresh.
