This is hands down the best dance company and place to learn how to salsa dance. It's an on2 company. But they also teach on1. If you want to be a good dancer like a good lead and good follow. This is where you do it. They are fun. Challenging and encouraging. Honestly I wish everyone learned here. We need more good leads in Sacramento.

My most favorite studio I've been to in SACRAMENTO; the entire staff is welcoming and super friendly. The owners are so good at making you feel like family and just the overall energy is a whole vibe. You have to experience it to know and understand!Power House instructors and even the senior students chime in and help us newbies without any judgments. Just so in love with this place!!!

Love the studio! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. They offer a variety of classes for all levels. The studio is clean, and there's plenty of parking spaces.

When you think of boot camp what comes to mind?Images of sweating, tears, & pain?Well, no worries. The only tears you will have is not trying salsa earlier. Yemaya Salsa boot camp is a great entry for your salsa skills.Go for it.

One of the best school I ever attended. Emillie is one of the best teachers in Sacramento. Very professional and is out to help her students succeed. I give them a 5 star. Thank you Emillie and Kevin for all you guys do for the community.

For years I've gone to this studio for their events and at times to perform as well, living in the Bay area its quite the drive but always sooooo worth it. They truly lead by example in the dance community by creating an inclusive and welcoming space in their studio. I can't wait until I can go back after the pandemic

I attended a Kizomba 3 hour Bootcamp. Disclaimer, I am a 100% beginner. I was concerned that the level of the Bootcamp would be too much for me. However, while it was challenging, Emellie was extremely clear with her instruction, and that made the class-time flyby. Not only did I feel like I learned, but her teaching was so clear that it gave me enough confidence to go out and try it that night at a dance social. I can't wait to take more classes and Bootcamps at Yemaya.

Yemaya is one of the best dance studio's in town and Emellie is an amazing instructor. She challenges dancers/students with new intriguing routines almost every class. If you are passionate about dancing and want to further level up your skills, this is the place to be.

Emellie and all the staff are great. Everyone welcomes you to the studio with a great sincere smile putting everyone at ease and making no so intimidating to start dancing. It took me just a few times to get me hooked and now want to learn more and more.Emelie is excellent at breaking the steps and pinpointing where to improve and she does it in very constructive way... do not be afraid to start your dancing hobby...it could be a little hard at the beginning but do not give up. Keep going to class and you will improve. You will also have lots of fun and in my opinion its is a way to nurture your body, mind and spirit
