If you're in the mood for a top-notch steakhouse experience, Woodbridge Inn in Woodbridge, California, should be at the top of your list. From the moment you walk in, it's clear that this place is all about quality. The steaks are the star of the show, boasting some of the finest cuts of meat you'll find in the area, cooked to perfection every time. The menu offers a solid selection, and you can tell they take pride in their ingredients. The service is exceptional -- attentive without being overbearing, and they truly make you feel like a valued guest. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a clean, friendly environment that's perfect for a casual dinner or special occasion. We started with appetizers, and they were spot on -- perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The bar area was buzzing, as expected on a Friday night, but the drinks were flowing smoothly and the specials were fantastic, making it easy to unwind after a busy week.As for parking, it's a bit tight on the weekends, but that's typical for a popular spot like this, and we planned ahead, so it wasn't an issue. The overall vibe is definitely worth the minor inconvenience. All in all, Woodbridge Inn Steakhouse delivers on its promises of great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

Just an update, someone named Julie B. messaged me privately and said that "everyone received excellent service and 5 star meals"And she banned me for 3 years for mentioning that there was a 10 year old girl laying outside the restaurant greeting people. Turns out it's her granddaughter. Who lets their granddaughter sit outside a restaurant at night with strangers coming and going??Also a Julie B left a 5 star review(which has been deleted)for the restaurant! Coincidence, I don't think so! And based on the reviews that are being posted, not everyone received "excellent service" or "5 star meals"!!

Apparently this place is open againWe tried it last night...walked into the bar area and the Manager was sitting at the end of the bar. She asked 'reservation?' We said, 'no, just dinner for 2' She shook her head and pointed us to a server. Never got up.The bar was lit up like a Roman Candle - so bright we almost needed dark glasses. The server took us to a table. There was only one other table taken in the entire restaurant. Our water glass was turned over on the table covering which was kind of a plastic material. The glass was stuck (somewhat) to the table, so whatever was on the table covering like a cleaning compound, was going to be in our mouths when we drank from the glass. The server asked is we wanted some water and we asked for sparkling water. They do not have any. We asked for fizzy water from the bar (full bar) - the server said they did not have fizzy water. After looking at the menu and realizing we were going to drop at least $150, we decided to leave. We never felt inviting and we certainly felt the atmosphere was unprofessional.

First time ever at this establishment. I didn't know anything about the history but the "new" decor and the bar area was very welcoming. The bar host was absolutely a gem. She made our experience from A to Z a delight. It's amazing how that customer service element can make a huge difference. Sorry I can't remember her name but she made menu suggestions, accommodated our silly wine questions, and gave us the hot tip on dessert. Overall the food was executed well, and the wines were on point. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I would return just for the dessert, wine and finally the customer service. Also, it's nice to know you can do a pub crawl in their area as there are at least 4 other establishments that have a great vibe as well. We skulked around Woodbridge and made this place our dinner plans, but just for S and G's maybe we can do the same thing in reverse order!

We tried the Inn on a Saturday night for dinner. Very busy place, but they fit us in for a 6 pm dinner. Great selection of steaks and seafood. My wife and I shared a dinner salad and a ribeye steak. The steak was nice and tender a cooked to our choice of medium rare. It came with a baked potato with all the fixings. We took most of the steak and potato home for lunch the next day. The steak was lightly seasoned and as I stated earlier, very tender. We finished with their bread pudding which was very delicious. We also took half the bread pudding home for the next day. Overall great experience and happy that they are open again

My friend and I went to Woodbridge Inn for lunch last Friday for her birthday. It was my first time there since they reopened. What a great experience we had! Our lunch was wonderful and so was the cherry cheesecake! The service was great as well. It was a very chilly day and unfortunately, we chose to sit by the window and we were a tad cold. I'm sure if we had said something they would have adjusted the heater. Not a big deal, it certainly did not take away from our great experience! We will definitely be back.

So the newly reopened Woodbridge Inn Steakhouse has a ways to go before it comes close to it's former self of years gone by. On first entrance the bar is the same then you enter the dining area and it looks like a common breakfast diner. It's loud, there are no linen table cloths yet the menu prices are those of a high end restaurant. The experience is not! The staff are hard working they were down a staff member the evening we dined but that did nothing for the atmosphere which is solely the responsibility of the decorator. The food was mediocre which is sad since the chef is rumored to be excellent. So buyer beware I hope they up their game .

The waitresses did not maintain an approachable look or demnor for a party of 11. Restaurant ambiance was more catered to the higher tax bracket of society. The staff was not very attentive, we had to ask for multiple things several times. Food took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive. The steaks were all cold or were incorrect with cooking temperature. The staff did not put the correct sides or added sides that were not ordered. Food was overpriced for the quantity given. False advertisement for their steaks, "New York strip 16oz" but it was more like the size of a 8 to 10 oz steak and was overly charred and bland. The restaurant does not posses a child friendly menu or any child's menu at all. And when paying for the meal, it took several staff members to figure out how to run the machine for a ticket.

Honestly, this establishment should be embarrassed to call themselves a Steakhouse. We were excited to see one of our favorite old places re-open, so we booked a birthday dinner on February 13th. As it turned out, this whole experience was so bad that we actually started taking notes so I wouldn't forget all the "issues" we had.So when I booked the reservation, I was asked (and responded) if there was a special occasion. It was...a birthday...and I let them know that.So we show up, and stand in the doorway for a few minutes just kinda waiting. Finally, a woman asks us from 10 feet away if we were there for dinner. Uhh..yeah. That's why we're standing in the doorway !That should have been a sign. She motioned us into the dining room with no additional greeting or acknowledgement (I counted 12 tables, only 4 were occupied)....when she sat us down in a table for 2. So far, it's sketchy, but it's a birthday and we used to love the place, so we're gonna stick it out.We sat down, and the "manager" (I suspect she was, but she was CLEARLY in over her head....even though the place was 1/3 full) set a couple menus on the table. No "we'll be right with you", "can I get you water ?".....nothing like that. Just set the menus down and walked away. She looked frazzled (the place was 1/3 full !!!)...pacing back and forth and seemed oblivious to what was going on.So we sat. And we sat. And we sat. The manager and every server walked past our table multiple times....(the dining room is tiny, so it's not like we got lost in the crowd). Nobody even looked us, even though we set our menus down on the table and stared right at everyone as they went by. After 14 minutes, the "manager" came over and asked "do you have any bread" (Stevie Wonder could see we didn't) and set a basket of "something" on the table and immediately walked away. Opened it up, and there were 5 little 2" x 2" squares of dry, STALE bread. Seriously, we looked at each other and said "really ???". Yes, it was STALE !After the bread..nobody came by...no contact, nothing...until I got up out of my chair (AFTER 23 minutes of being seated !), went to the manager (who was standing against a wall staring blankly into the dining room) and asked if someone could help us. She looked surprised (even though she was standing 20' away from us). It was to the point we were Googling Pietros and Woodbridge Crossing so we could call and see if they could squeeze us in. We were literally going to get up and walk out (which I've NEVER done at a restaurant in my 66 years !).She went into the kitchen, and a few minutes later, a young girl came out and approached our table (the same young girl who'd walked past us 10-15 times as we sat and waited). She was nice. She tried. But she definitely needed some training before being a server in an "alleged" upscale steakhouse. From the badly wrinkled shirt, to little things like later holding out a tray with our salad forks on it and having us retrieve them ourselves....and later taking my empty wine glass without asking if I'd like another one. Again, she tried......but she just isn't trained for a fine dining establishment. So we finally ordered dinner...the $60 ribeye (there's an $85 ribeye too....same thing as ours but melted bleu cheese on top). So yes, Morton's and Ruth's Chris prices, but we expected that going in. We have ZERO problem paying premium prices for premium food. Well. Honestly. That was the toughest ribeye we've ever had. I read another review posted here and I agree with that reviewer 100%. That was NOT a ribeye. Chuck steak maybe, but if it was a ribeye, it was a really cheap cut. We ended up eating less than 1/2 of it and didn't even want to take the rest home with us.$60 ??? For a tough, dry, low grade ribeye ? But here's what's even more frustrating. We'd expressed our frustration to the server....how we'd waited 23 minutes, how bad the steak was, how the bread was gross...all of it. Very politely, very calmly. We were VERY nice to her..it wasn't her fault. So after all that....in a REAL steakhouse, you'd have expected the manager to come by and apologize, offer to remake the steak, take the glass of wine off the bill......ANYTHING. But did she ?? No. Nothing. Nothing taken off the bill, no "please come back again"...nothing even resembling upscale service. Bottom line. This was the day before Valentines Day and we commented that if it was this bad on the 13th, how bad would it be once it was REALLY busy on the 14th ? Seeing some other reviews, it looks like there were some other dissatisfied customers from that night too. Will we be back ? No. Was the birthday dinner so bad it was almost a comedy of errors ? Yes. My advice.....this is Applebee's food and service at Morton's prices. Whoever bought this place needs to take a VERY long look at what's going on there. You're going to lose all your older, long-time customers very shortly unless you make some drastic changes....
