Winterport Grass-fed Beef is a delicious way of life! Small farms seem to be more and more of a rarity these days, but the Ports recently made sure that theirs will be around for a while (http://www.conservation.ca.gov/index/news/2007%20News%20Releases/Pages/AmadorCountyFarmPreservedforAgricultureUseOnly.aspx).I've known Jeff and Katie for years, and have had their choice beef several times, including last summer while visiting the farm. I'm excited that their beef is becoming easier to get a hold of, and I'll be filling my freezer up soon with some delicious grass-fed goodness! Great beef grown by great people!

Wow! Grass-fed beef is far superior to the beef you can purchase in grocery stores. The flavor, texture and taste were amazing. Our family did a comparison (double-blind) and couldn't believe the differences in taste compared to the Raley's meat. It is more expensive but we know where our beef is from and what the cattle are eating. The peace of mind is definitely worth the extra price per pound. Looks like we will be purchasing our beef from Winterport Farm at the Rancho Cordova Farmer's Market from now on.

Winterport Farm has the best tasting beef I have ever had! I love supporting small farms who care for their animals as they should be cared for.

This past weekend at the X Street farmers market, I purchased steak, hamburger and a roast, I only prepared the steak, and I have to say it was as good as the, unnamed company, I purchase beef from at the Sac Food Co-op and at a lower cost. Definably a happy camper. I will spread the word for sure.

We bought filet mignon, then later some ribeye steaks from Winterport at the Sac farmers market. Both times I was very impressed by the taste and texture of the steaks we bought. In fact I didn't know a steak could taste so good! They said it was something about the grass finishing; whatever the cause, it was EXCELLENT steak and dramatically better than what we've bought at supermarkets.
