Willie's Burgers

I visited Willie's while in Sacramento seeing friends. They both had to work on Monday and I was heading back to San Francisco in the middle of the day so I was at Willie's right when it opened at 10:30am. Doors weren't unlocked at that time but I waited until the folks inside were ready around 10:50. I was the first inside and the cashier was patient as I reviewed the menu, ultimately ordering a chili slaw dog with fries with garlic seasoning. I went to sit outside but I wasn't sure how they announced when food was ready so I went and stood by the pick-up window. I think because I arrived so close to ordering, it took a bit longer for my food to be ready as everything in the kitchen was heating up. Eventually I grabbed my food from the window, grabbed napkins and ketchup, and headed outside.The hot dog looked great. It was a really good size and was piled high with toppings. The cole slaw was the highlight. Long, shreds of crispy cabbage covered in creamy topping. It was delicious and complimented the chili well. Fries were good. The garlic seasoning was inconsistent but good on the fries that it landed on.I'd definitely return to Willie's for a burger and I'd grab another hot dog too.

Burger good, but fries failed me badly. Fries were well done and quite hot, yet still soggy and no crunch. $18 for hammer 4, med fry, med drink. Ambiance- mcSeating indoors, very tight spacing, no room to relax. Outdoor option was quite full and shared parking also full. Staff were nice and order taker very attentive.

My partner describes Willie's as the In-N-Out before In-N-Out opened in Sac, and I can see why! I stopped by for the first time yesterday and loved the cool retro feel inside. I ordered the Hammer 2, Side of Chili, and a Chocolate Banana Malt Milkshake. My partner ordered the Hammer 4 with Chili Fries and a Vanilla Banana Milkshake. Our order came out to $42, which is a great deal for the amount of food we took home. Willie's is open late everyday, closing at 1am most days and 3am on weekends, so I'd definitely keep this spot on my radar for a late night meal! If you plan to stop by, I highly recommend the chili fries and milkshakes. The chili fries were drenched in chili and oh so delicious! The milkshake with malt added was nice and thick, and I could taste the fresh banana chunks. I might pass on the burger since the patty was not as thick as I hoped, but overall, I'd come back for the great prices and quality!

We were looking for something for an easy, late night dinner and after our Yelp search Willie's Burgers was the winner.We stopped at the 16th street location and it was no frills, but had some tables to dine in. It was a bit after 9:30pm and it was busy with people dining in and grabbing takeout.We ended up with a couple burgers, chili cheese fries and regular fries. We were in and out in about ten minutes and took everything home to eat.I had the Slammer CC which was a chili cheese burger with a huge slice of tomato, onion and pickles. It was really filling and while I was excited to try the chili burger I probably would get it without chili next time.My husband got the Hammer 4 and added bacon. He also got a strawberry shake and demolished it, I only got one sip before it was gone- I take that as a sign he liked it.The fries were loaded with chili and cheese and are definitely the kind you eat with a fork. We would definitely go back again for a late night option.

Flavorless chili cheese burger. Pleasant and helpful cashier and staff. Fun, local-feeling atmosphere. Wish the food had more flavor otherwise this is more of a Sac must sees checklist visit for me.

This was the best chili burger I've ever had, my friend told me about this place so we came at 9:00PM, and it was worth the drive for sure, the chill is high quality, I got the DCC, with no tomatoes or mustard add thousand island sauce, with a chocolate malt shake, and chili cheese fries, soooooooo good, will come back and try to hot dog next, this place is a gem for sure you have to try it Food taste : 10/10Service : 10/10Will I return : of course Tip: didn't leave one was my first time

Got burgers, onion rings, and chilli cheese fries. Burgers - awesome and genuinely reminds me of in-n-out.Onion rings - huge with a nice crispy batter. If you love onion rings, you'll like these for sure.Chilli cheese fries - the fries were solid but I wasn't a huge fan of the chilli. I like texture with my chilli, so whole beans, onions, buts of ground meat, etc. this was more like a chilli sauce. Not bad, but just not my cup of tea.The staff were friendly but the interior of the restaurant really turned me off. There were way too many flies so I changed my order to-go and I don't think I would ever eat in.

They say the chili dog is better than the burgers here and I may have to agree because the burgers were not that great. The fries were underwhelming as well. So I can't say much except don't try the burger or fries.

We took our grandkids to the Willie's in Old Sac. It was disgusting. Dirty and crowded. Tables were not cleaned. Litter on the floor. Price for food was way too high. Never going back.
