Great spot to read, write, chill, do homework. There's a Starbucks inside too! Lots of great privacy desks and study rooms. I can spend hours here.

First time I've been to a library that requires you to check in with the police department. I had to get back in my car drive a few blocks away to the police department which was only labeled by the police cars in the lot. For the new welcoming place for all parking permits it's remarkably unlabeled and not easy to find. Don't go to the main doors of the building go down to what seems to be a lower level area to find the police department. Also write down your license plate number yo save yourself a trip back to your car. I love that everyone just kept saying sorry new rules. Library visits require a visit to the police station. Someone call the firemen.

So I decided to create a page for the library so I can check in HAHA!But really though, this is my home away from home. Since freshman year I have been in here on the regular. It has been a place full of extreme joy, hanging out with friends and just socializing when I should be doing work and a place of great worry and distress come exam time. What is nice about this library is that there is a multitude of different areas that have different atmospheres that may or may not be conducive to studying. Pretty much on the first floor you got the computer lab area, with tons of available computers to do work on. My only experience with these is when I was taking Statistics and had to do "math lab" crap or for Comp 25 and had to make my own website. You can access your files easily enough but what always pissed me off is that I could never install software like dropbox or other useful programs like that. Be cautious, it can get loud over here. Another area, I affectionately call, the "Stinky Room" is located upstairs on the SW corner. I don't what is up with it, but for reals it smells like doodoo 24/7. I think they may have finally gotten it fixed but I remember having to cover my nose walking by that area. It has some nice cubicles if you get distracted from people walking by. All of them are etched up by the frats and misc people. I try to avoid this area unless necessary cause its right next to some bathrooms and the stench can leak out...My office, aka home away from home, is the tables on the second floor along the south wall. It features 6, count em, 6 long tables, easily accommodating 4 people each with power jacks and ethernet connections for everyone! With the big windows nearby it isn't as depressing being inside cause you can see all of nature outside the window, especially when you are spending 10+ hours since I'm in the pharmacy program. It can get loud over here but this is 1st come spot cause this is where all my friends are at. If you need a place to discuss something or do some tutoring I would recommend the downstairs tables right near the entrance. This is an area dedicated to talking. Now there is a lounge on the second floor with some comfy chairs and tables and it is good for some light discussions or group projects but more frequently it is infested with a certain loud-ass group of people *ahem* that got nothing to study and just chat it up, ruining everyone's concentration. Be mindful of other people if you decide to sit here. There are also study rooms that can be reserved in blocks of 2 hours. Just a note about these, they may be closed off with a glass wall, but we hear you in there... every word. These rooms are not sound proof, so if you plan on gossiping about something, it won't be a secret for much longer. That's all I can think of this place. There is a lot more I can write but if you go to the school you pick up on these things. For reals though, when I go off on rotations and eventually graduate, I am going to miss this place in an odd way. I have had weeks in which I have logged in 70 hours in a 7 day period, done all-nighters when open 24 hours, made many cool friends and sparked a few love interests. Club L (trademarked by me) is where it is at!

The library for UOP students. - 2 hr reservation times for a NOT sound proof study room (maybe about 15-20 in the library)- noise level can get annoying for those wanting quiet although it doesnt bother me- some of the chairs and desk are ancient- the LCD screen monitor cables cannot be disconnected and be used as a dual screen with your laptop unlike the pharmacy library- can get crowded especially during finals but better hours than the pharmacy branch.- when I was at school I studied at the pharmacy branch until dinner; ate dinner then went to the main campus until midnight or so. -bike racks in the front to lock your bikeBottomline: a decent and serviceable library

Vast resources both in the library and online, friendly and helpful staff, group study rooms that can be reserved and the best coffee on campus! What's not to like! The Interlibrary Loan service is quick and reliable. I have used numerous times. While the area in front of the cafe can be noisy and crowded, you can always escape to the stacks or the back study tables on the other floors. The archives are worth the visit for the Muir and Brubeck collections alone - but the wealth of historical information about UOP is amazing and interesting. Take a visit if you can!

I go here to study because it doesn't close until 1 in the morning. It can be quiet for you to study but there are some people who don't know what the hell a library is for. You have kids from Delta college or where ever the hell talking and yapping their gums away when people are trying to study. Then there's the group of kids who go into a study room thinking (or knowing) that it's sound proof and start yelling and laughing right next to people clearly studying. Other then the noise control issue and limited parking I would have given this place 5 stars.
