After working 38 years for the City of Sacramento Department of Park and Recreation. William G. Chorley was honored by the City of Sacramento by having a park named after him .(William G. Chorley Park ). Built in 1978 , this park is 11.84 acres in size and is located in the older part of South Sacramento. It is also adjacent to Morse Elementary School. It's hours are sunrise to sunset. An automatic gate at the entrance of the parking lot allows you to only enter during these times. It's amenities are:Huge open space with adult soccer field. Two picnic areas with BBQShaded Area (Gazebo)Playground with climbing structures , slides and swings.Nature area: Valley Oak Woodlands, Annual Grasslands, Foothill Riparian.Walking, Jogging Paths. Dog Run and restrooms. The North side of the park runs along side Bing Maloney Golf Course !I'm sure I have lost many a balls in this grassy terrain ! Fore ! Duck ! Here comes another ball ! Lol William G. Chorley Park is another fine example of what the City of Sacramento has to offer. A well deserving (3 1/2 Stars)
