Went for Oktberfest for the first time, and I enjoyed it! Was able to be RSVP'd for being Yelp Elite got unlimited free samples of beers, hard kombucha, and ciders. I am not much of a beer fan so I was super stoked that there was hard kombucha, wine, and ciders! I got the info for my favs. Food was good I got tacos at the stand all the way by the entrance they were good a bit pricey ; $10 for 3 . Waters were free, It was nice they had irish dancers and singers fun competitions. My only quam is the VIP section was hogged by people saving shade spots for their friends that were no where to be found, and the result was me and my husband sitting and eating on the ground. Could have been a bit more regulted. Other than that I was happy that the proceeds benefitted City of Refuge. Great organization, the founders are super sweet!

This park has basketball, soccer, baseball, two playgrounds and a small amphitheater. The grass is well maintained and clean.

This is a great park for little kid parties. I recently had one here, and it was a success due to the canopied playgrounds and the covered picnic area. I was contemplating renting out a bouncy castle at first because my guest list started filling up with preschoolers and kindergarteners, but the 2 playgrounds were enough(along with a few activities). I also got some compliments from a couple parents because of the covered playgrounds. Apparently Natomas right now is the only area doing that. There are 5 tables with benches, a couple grills, and the picnic area is made of metal so its ideal for taping things up like garlands. Unfortunately, past partiers did not do a good job cleaning up after themselves, so its a bit messy. I also had my dad bring his own bbq set, because the grills aren't well kept either. The bathrooms nearby, however, are always clean. An amphitheater with an electric outlet is sorta near the picnic area, so if you have long chords, you can hook up music and not worry about batteries. I was a little worried of the kids tripping on the chord, but it never happened. I really like this feature of the park, because if you have entertainment, you can shuffle the guests there where they can sit in 3 rows looking down at the "stage". Other then the playgrounds, kids can run around in a huge grassy field (ideal for soccer and waterballon fights ;)), play volleyball if you have a net, or play basketball. Oh, there is also a Walgreens, literally just a block away too, so if you need snacks or beverages, you can just run on over and stock up in a flash!Overall, if I'm insane enough to throw another party for my little one, I would have it here again. And book it early too. There seems to be parties happening here every weekend.
