My first visit was as a guest ($7 for a day pass, sign waiver) to try one of the Zumba group exercise classes on a Wednesday evening with instructor Donna. The member who I was a guest of is a West Sacramento resident. Since I work in West Sacramento, what's super neat is that they have a Corporate Rate that matches the Resident Rate for passes (Individual Only), which comes out to $7 for adults, $5.50 for seniors/students daily, or $39.50 monthly for adults, $26 monthly for seniors/students rate. Regular admission (non-resident) is $14 daily or $73 monthly for individuals. They also have Couple and Family rates. For evening hours after work, in the Group Exercise room, generally, there is a Cardio Lift, Yoga, or Zumba class offered each hour or so between 4 PM and 7 PM. There is also Kinesis, Aqua Fit, and Spin in other areas of the Center. They also have a basketball court (youth, teen, and adult sports), typical gym machines space, small group personal training, a pool, and a rock climbing wall. Parking was full because it's summertime and the hot weather brings everyone to the pool. Overflow parking goes into the high school lot, with some shade trees.Might get a pass as a complement to my Orangetheory membership.

Such a cool facility with something for the entire family - from basketball to tennis to weights to spin class to swimming...and even a couple of water slides and a lazy river. No a west sacramento native, no worries. Non-residents are allowed for a few $ more. Wry reasonably priced so that anyone can enjoy. Day passes, monthly pass, quarterly passes, etc etc.

Fun slides, cool rock climbing, good pool for kids. My one complaint: the soundtrack had a lot of inappropriate music for the crowd of mostly young children. For example, that song that goes "Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me? Don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" was blaring at the kids area... is that a good message for young children to hear? The manager needs to put a policy in place.

My kid goes to the sports camp here and im not pleased at all my kid came home and was crying because a supervisor of the name Lily was rude to her and made my daughter feel very uncomfortable. This is completely unacceptable.

Its chill. The riff- raff is minimal. Personally, Id prefer this place over a larger gym because no one cares about you ! Lol No one has bothered me, ever and that is ideal. Let me do my little calisthenics/ cardio and leave. I have yet to yet the pool. Mostly because it seems like a whole situation trying to book the time to. The price is right and I'll probably go back. My month just ended and no contract is the bomb!

Please tell me who is overseeing these lifeguards? They blow their whistle over everything. It's ridiculous! My 3 year old daughter was floating on her dad's back, practicing her confidence and the lifeguard blew her whistle. I sat on the edge of the pool, another one blew her whistle. I gave her the thumbs up to understanding this wasn't allowed. She proceeds to come over and tell me again. Dude, I got it the first time! I saw them do this over and over again. I finally got annoyed and sat out. I look over and this was my view. Please tell me why these girls can wear thong bikinis and blow their whistle over the dumbest things?! Not appropriate for a KIDS swimming place. Never coming back!

The West Sac Rec Center is a hidden gem of West Sac. The staff is friendly and the hours are convenient. They have swimming, yoga, spin classes, fully gym, and very low monthly rates for West Sac residents. I sometimes wish they had more locker room amenities (like a swimsuit dryer, sauna, etc.) but if more of you join, maybe they'll have money to do that? Can't wait to do the Turkey Triathalon with you next year!
