Wow. Blown away by this place. Tucked away off of the busy J street on 18th you'll find this amazing full bar / delicious sushi restaurant. You are greeted immediately by the amazing team when you walk in who get you seated pretty quickly. I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. The sushi chefs are extremely personable (we were treated like VIP's by Anthony). They keep the drinks flowing and are very attentive to make sure you get that other roll you held off on ordering but regretted not ordering it 3/4 of the way through your meal. I highly recommend the Wedashii Crispii for dessert. You will thank me later. All full on sushi but want to keep the party going. Pop right next door for a night cap at NightCap!!! The first time I had Wedashii was actually their cart at a Kings game, so I was looking forward to actually trying their storefront. I ordered the Mimi's Special which happened to be on their Happy Hour menu, so it was only $12. Happy hour is everyday between 3:30PM-6:00PM. I was very impressed with the roll. I'm not generally a fan of raw fish, but thought the roll tasted very fresh. Being Happy Hour, I thought $12 for 8 pieces was not bad at all. Overall, service was great, and everything came out generally fast. I also think their happy hour menu has a good amount of choices and would be curious to come back again to try other menu items on it.

We have been there twice with a fairly large group and they handled us well. Pros:I really like the BBQ albacore, hamachi kama, salmon belly, and Agadashi. We also had a wonderful platter of sashimi. I highly recommend these items. It's a small place, but has a good vibe. The bar seems to be the place to sit, we sat in a both. They were not busy at all. The staff working was friendly. We ordered four rolls for a group of five and it was the perfect amount. All the rolls we ordered were tasty. Everyone kept saying the food was so good. We also enjoyed the spicy edamame. The only down fall to our visit was they did not have Sapporo on tap. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely be back to try different rolls!

Wedashii has a dive bar vibe, it was dark and moody. The service was good, our drinks and food came quickly. We ordered three rolls to share and they were delicious. I can only remember that one was the Ranye West roll. The names of the rolls were hilarious, we had a blast reading them to each other. Also, the stuffed jalapenos appetizer was AMAZING. I was in heaven. Highly recommend.

Super disappointed. I have loved this place for a while. It's close to my office and has always had great food. I ate there Monday night, I got the bbq albacore and a better than Mike roll. It was a pleasant experience, I worked and ate, and the waitress was sweet. HoweverI have been sick all day today, even needing to close my office and turn away clients. It seems like I may have to close up tomorrow as well based on how I'm feeling. I have never had food poisoning this severe.
