(Review from daughter)My partner and I enjoyed this spot. While we did not get the waffle, our dishes were still delicious. It's the first time I've had chilaquiles and it was amazing. At first I was reluctant to have feta cheese on it (because I prefer cotija cheese) but it was still delicious. Both cheeses are good. The cilantro also added a nice fresh flavor. As for the eggs, I didn't finish them. I love sunny side up eggs but I felt like the two different flavors didn't go together. I STILL ENJOYED MY MEAL. My partner enjoyed his omelette as well. I'm not too sure what was in his omelette (though the menu does describe what's inside).It was very packed, even on a Thursday. The wait wasn't that long, maybe 5-15 minutes. Service was nice, everyone was kind even with the stress of a packed restaurant. It was also a very cute restaurant. Small and cute. I would definitely go back again... especially for the chilaquiles.

First time visit. A few people were waiting outside, but there were empty tables when we checked in (perhaps short of help?). The lady who checked us in, wrote down the wrong name. While we waited for a table, a name was called that no one answered to and the group that was waiting when we arrived had just been seated. So,.. I asked about our table. She checked the list,.. we were not on the list (hence wrong name called). We could have sat there all morning waiting.I ordered the avocado toast with a small side hollandaise sauce. For that little cup of sauce, I was charged $3. Decent breakfast, interesting building, friendly staff.We will probably give them another visit and perhaps our first visit incidents were a one off.

Update to 5 *!!We had our sixth or seventh visit last week, the food is still consistently hot, the svc. great and of course it's always pleasant to sit in that wonderful setting of downtown Lincoln, recalling your youthfulness of years ago! It's no stretch at all to give the Waffle Shop 5 stars!Keep it up guys, don't change a thing

The food was so gooood, I had chilaquiles, the staff was accommodating and answer all of our questions, made substitutions on certain ingredients for my kids. The "eggspensive" on my bill took me for surprise, I wish it was included as part of my meal. No need to be reminded of our economy, we get it. Aside from that will definitely be back to try a different dish.

This remains a steady, very good breakfast place in downtown Lincoln. Parking has never been an issue and the atmosphere is pleasant with a down home feel to it.We were seated and served right away, and coffee and water brought immediately. Service, overall, remains attentive and friendly.I ordered the Garden Skillet which was quite good. All the ingredients blended together nicely, although the broccoli florets were very skimpy and tiny. In a garden skillet I like an emphasis on the veggies.The eggs, over easy, were perfectly prepared and the yokes flowed beautifully.The portion is just enough to be full.I do enjoy this place. They have a senior menu which I photographed, but nothing quite appealed this time.Anyway, a good place for breakfast or lunch.

5 dollar tiny mimosa's.18 dollar child size omelette's.Service is hit and miss. This is my 3rd time here. Swore I'd never return after the first experience but I wanted to see if they got all the kinks worked out. They did not. Awful Annie's... why did you leave us Not coming back after this visit.

We have been here a few times and each time the food is great. My wife likes the waffles and they need to be just right. Firm but not over done and not overly soft. She is always happy.The service has always been great. They are happy and make us feel welcome.It has a local community feel. That is I feel I always look for. I highly recommend The Waffle Ahop

Have been here a few times and it definitely doesn't disappoint! Service was on point once again! Had the chicken fried steak, home fries, over easy eggs, biscuit with gravy , everything was very tasty! My son had the same and he definitely enjoyed the meal, very hearty! My wife had eggs Benedict with ham and said it was delicious, as usual! My daughter had the chicken pesto sandwich and said she would definitely order it again! As for the price it was about 20$ per plate as usual theses days... definitely will visit here again!

This is a very cute little breakfast spot in downtown Lincoln and the ambiance is really great. The service was also very fast and friendly. I ordered the chicken and waffle and the waffle itself was really good. I thought the chicken was a little bit greasy but that's pretty common for chicken and waffles. I would definitely come back to try more of what they have to offer.

GREAT food. GREAT choice for breakfast. My favorite breakfast item is... pecan and bacon waffle-delicious. The ambiance is cafe style with upstairs dining. Downside for me the tables are too close together with a lack of privacy. My first experience here was not as welcoming (the waiter did not greet us before asking to take our order and seemed irritated when asked to wipe down our sticky table) she decided to ask another waitress to assist us. The second waitress was pleasant.
