Vernon Nail

This place is a waste of money. TLDR: cut me while filing, nails were lumpy and chipped the next day, They convinced me to do dip instead of acrylic but the nail tech didn't know what she was doing. It was lumpy, one of the tips wasn't glued on correctly so it lifted the next day. Even the dip she put on started chipping the next day. I had to keep asking her to file one that was had a big glob on the side and asking her to put more acrylic on one that have a big empty spot in the middle. She got frustrated and someone else to take over for her and then they were more arguing in a different language while one held each on my hands and were doing different things to each hand so I couldn't keep track of what was happening. So while one was fixing the lumps I pointed out on one hand the other was putting a gel top coat on the other hand (which was also not even). I remember pointing out that you could see all the bubbles in the acrylic and every layer line from where the dips were and how it wasn't supposed to be like that so she put a pink gel coat over the top and I said wasn't the point of picking a dip color supposed to be so you didn't have to do a color on top? And she insisted that the gel was clear even though I could see the label said ballet pink #601 DND and I could see the color. She straight up tried to gas light me to my face while I watched her put pink gel over the pink powder. And when I tried to stop her and say no it's still lumpy you have to smooth it before you put the top coat, she insisted that the gel would smooth it out. It did not. And the bubbles and dip lines are still visible even through the pink gel. The next day the dip chipped off the corner of the thumb and the thumb tip started lifting from my actual nail. It hasn't even been 24 hours. Also the second lady filed till it bled. I have no idea why they decided to have two people working on me at the same time but it was stressful and made it even harder to communicate that my wishes were not being met.

Firstly, this review doesn't go out to the owners employees. This goes out to the owner herself. I was skeptical about coming back as a regular customer, because my last appointment. Out of no where her prices went up and she decides to let me know after doing my nails (red flag). Today I called before coming in and asked if there was walk ins and she said yes. I got to the nail shop within 5 mins exact and go inside. Turns out she's double booked within those 5 minutes. She asks if I can come back or do dip powder. I said I don't mind dip powder, although I haven't had dip powder in years. She has one of her other employees do it and I asked how much was a full set with regular polish, both ladies said $35 and the lady that did my nails kept asking if I wanted gel or powder. I finally said "ok powder" I asked how much the additional charges would be. She said $5 so $35 + $5 = $40. I ended up not liking the dip powder color because it was not coral like the polish color. She said she'll fix it with gel (no additional cost) fast forward to the end and I'm ready to pay for my nails that don't look worth $40 (pictures will be included) and she tries to say they're $45 lol I said no and explained everything I was told by the both of them. The owner started getting loud with me, rolls her eyes, and throws her arms out and walks away. I've been a client here for 2 years and I'll never be going back. Highly unprofessional, horrible nail job with bumps and globs (not smooth at all), and horrible customer service towards me.

2.5 stars. Great leg massage but my nails were jagged and not filed well. The nail polish was clumpy at the ends. Nice people but overall just not good.

I feel bad writing a review, but I don't want anyone else throwing $36 to the wind like I did. I don't get anything fancy when I get pedicures, just plain polish. I did not think you could mess that up but I was proven very wrong. I had to go back 1 minute after leaving the salon because the polish on my big toenails was literally coming off as I walked. The lady redid them quickly and had me sit for a few minutes under the dryer thing. I left and had a long leisurely dinner with my sandaled toes out of range of any harm. When I got home, I looked at them and my big toes still didn't look dry and kind of bunched up. My friend pressed them very lightly and left a huge nail dent. I woke up this morning and they looked even more messy. The only thing I can think is they're using dollar store product poured into opi bottles because I have never ever had a problem with a pedicure getting messed up after leaving the salon. I would've had better luck doing one (for free) myself

Today was the second time I went to Vernon Nails in Roseville. I got a pedicure and a manicure. I got the extra special pedicure that includes paraffin wax and hot stone treatment on my feet. Now they're nice and soft and pretty. Staff is very friendly and professional.

I walked into this small salon last minute. They were not busy and the prices looked good. My hand wasn't in the nail dryer (gel nails) correctly so they turned up the nail dryer so high it burned at one point. While the tech painted my nails she pulled my hand in a way that made my watch hit the sneeze guard and it damaged the side. Not to mentioned my manicure is flawed. Don't go here.

Went in for acrylic removal and then the tech cut me with the drill and still made me pay. She was extremely rough, made me bleed, did not get all of the acrylic off and i eventually had to go to a different salon for the gel polish (gel polish not done by them). They were offended when i didn't tip and then charged my card an additional $5.50 without my knowledge and said it was a "card fee".

Been coming here for a while and last time, I was with a friend and both of us left with barely decent pedicures. Mine had way too many uneven layers. You would not be able to say a professional did the service. For the price, I expect more. Will not be back.

Hard gel mani and gel pedi - I was in a hurry and they were so quick! In and out in under an hour. So pretty and natural, exactly what I was wanting!

Vernon street nails is truly the best in all the area. I am very picky about my nails and pedicures but not once in 12 years have I had any issue with their work. I recent moved almost a hour away so I tried some closer but I was not happy with any of them so I travel to roseville to get my nails done with Ana. Anyone giving them a less than 4 stars is just a negative person it seems.
