Variety Donuts

I am commanded to grab donuts by my four year old. I search for the nearest one and Variety Donuts pop up. They close at 12:00pm so I have to be quick to get on the road to make it before they close. The person working is very nice and influenced me to come back a second time and to continue to come here. So easy for my four year old to choose which donut she wants to try and eats most of it when we arrive at home. The ambiance is just like any other donut shop, quiet with the smell of fresh baked goods.Parking is not too bad, since it's early, there should be a lot of parking.

I got 3 glazed donuts and they were too rich to start on the 2nd one. Some places make them better; this isn't the place...

Found this place through everyone's reviews here, and they were all absolutely correct! To the couple of retired guys who were just hanging out and chatting, to the cute old man, and the really friendly service! We got a mixed box.

It's nice to walk in here in the morning and seeing people start their day. The man who works the front is friendly and there is a great selection. Hooked me up with some extra donuts too. That's the kind of gesture that'll keep you coming back. Donuts were on point too.

I'm in west Sacramento for training and decided to get my group a couple dozen doughnuts. This establishment is small but very welcoming. The gentleman behind the counter welcomes you with a smile and is an extremely nice guy. I ordered a dozen special which mixes the fancy and regular doughnuts and I ordered one big doughnut box. The doughnuts looked delicious but they taste even better and are huge. Everyone in the group and office loved them.

Got two dozen donuts for the office for my birthday. Was $30 (a bit pricey I thought) The guy gave me an extra one as they were out of glazed.But sad they didn't have any glazed or donut Holmes....but it was a Friday and the guys said it was really busy.He was very friendly, quick and a good business man lol. I intended to only get one dozen but he convinced me to get two, haha.

I've purchased donuts for my staff and families for work at least 20 times in the past 3 years and this place is my go to. The owner is so kind and welcoming. I literally have his shop programmed into my phone and can just text him my order in the morning and know he will always have it ready to go at the requested time. My staff was always pleased by the quality and freshness, too.The shop is nothing fancy. Each time I go in, I'm checked over by the crowd of regulars of the older, male, retired persuasion. :) Not offensive, you can just tell that this place is part their regular routine and they are interested in the goings-on of their shop. Usually one or two of them politely offer to help me load my boxes into my car. I'm honored by the courtesy.Always bemused by the open carton of half-and-half in the beverage bin. Speaks to a casual, familial atmosphere of not putting on airs and what's mine is yours. Buy your coffee and touch it up how you like, as you like. I really enjoy this place, its crowd, and its owner.

I brought two boxes I large and small. I was shocked that it came to $ 40. Bucks, but the place is very clean and the owner is a very sweet man also

I was trying to find a local doughnut store closer to me in West Sacramento. I just moved here not long ago. I walked into this place around 5:30 am I guess opening time. I was greeted by this very friendly guy who was the part owner of this establishment. They had a very few dohnuts on display and I bought two sugar tossed doughnuts. They were amazing and very flavorful. Sadly I had to stay up late again to get in on their amazing fluffy goodness that only these guys can provide. I asked him why doesn't he stay open later and all day?Come on , this place is fantastic. Great tasting and please adjust your hours so we can have you all day. Thank you for being so nice in the morning. You made my day!!

The guy that owns and runs this place is awesome and the donuts just as awesome as well, it's a must try if you haven't been here.
