Van Doren Park

Choo ! Choo ! All aboard ! Consumes Community Service District delivered when designing this park . As you can tell, "trains "is the theme of this park. The play areas are filled with trains, railroad crossings, signs, ready for your kids to enjoy! This park is not only for children, but for adults also! Built in 2011, this park is 3.83 acres in size and is located in the vicinity of Waterman / Park Village . Named after Merle B. Van Doren and Son "Robert". Both Merle and Robert were very active in the community of Elk Grove.Local residence can enjoy an abundance of different activities. Picnic area with picnic tables, BBQ's , shaded structure , two tennis courts, horseshoe pit, exercise area with machines, Bocce ball, plus two play areas for children both having slides, swings, and climbing structures. I was impressed on how clean and well maintained this park was ! I am sure you will agree !Time to go ! Choo ! Choo !

I love this park! It's in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by plenty of trees. There are a lot of people walking their dogs around here. I brought my nephew/nieces and they had a blast playing on the jungle gym, slides, train, and other apparatuses designed to make you dizzy but wanting more. They also had " exercise" equipment for adults. There is also a mini trail that wraps around the park. I definitely recommend this place and would come back

Great park. Hidden off the beaten path. Train theme. Some interesting playground equipment that you don't normally find. Decent shade, beautiful trees.

Idk if I'm even old enough to leave a review but I rate it 5 stars because it's close to my school
