I had the opportunity to be a guest for a couple of my niece and nephew's classes, and I have nothing but positively glowing comments for how Mr. Jung conducts his classes. He's all about positive reinforcements and encouraging comments to his students. The kids ADORE him! He makes it such a fun and positive experience that as an adult I would even sign up!

This family owned establishment is Amazing!!! Jung and his lovely wife Anna are the owners of this Martial Arts School, they are very welcoming and loving. They are very knowledgeable, professional and very friendly.I love how they motivate the kids they keep them engaged by incorporating fun ways to learn karate, the front of their establishment has big open windows, the lighting is great a big and spacious floor planed area to spar and the kids have lots of space to kick, punch without having to be to close to each other, they also have one restroom.We came here for a Birthday party and it was so much fun, all the kids had a blast. They played games and did an obstacle course, the Birthday Girl and Boy gave a wonderful demonstration on all the karate moves they learned. Their form was impressive and you can tell their instructors taught them well, I will be bringing my kids back for a trial they offer to see if they are a fit for your family and let me tell you they already felt like they were after meeting them just once, Im positive my kids will want to sign up and become students for sure lol.With such upbeat personalities and kindness you should definitely give this Family owned business a try with the 2 week trial i say it's worth it for sure and if you don't feel it's a fit no strings attached, but i promise your Family will love it!!! Uplift Martial Arts is an exceptional place, and Mr. & Mrs. Jung are the nicest, kindest, and best people ever. The instructors are amazing, and everyone at Uplift is very warm and welcoming. They ensured all three of our kids felt comfortable, even though they were initially a bit shy and hesitant to participate. Over time, our children grew to love this place, and we, as a family, love it too.Uplift Martial Arts hosts great events, including free ones such as ice cream parties and self-defense classes for women, dads, and kids. We started going here about a year ago, and even after moving more than 20 miles away, we still continue to attend because we feel like part of the Uplift family. Our kids have made many friends here and thoroughly enjoy practicing martial arts together.This martial arts school is not only fun but also educational. They focus on teaching defensive skills rather than attacking, and they instill valuable life skills such as respect, responsibility, and overall good character. We love that about this place, and highly recommend Uplift Martial Arts to anyone looking for a supportive and enriching environment for their children.

My 7 year old has been going to Uplift since January. We love it. The instructors are fantastic with the kids. It's his favorite sport.

The instructors are amazing. They are very nice and encouraging the kids . My kid just start it and very love it.

We have been so impressed with Uplift since day one. We started with the 2 week trial class about 6 months ago and our 5 year old absolutely loves her Tiny Tiger class. She is just as excited weekly for her classes as she was on her first day. The instructors and owners are the absolute best. It's so impressive how they truly care and also remember every child's name. It is encouraging in this day/age to have such a welcoming, positive and consistently outstanding studio like Uplift as a big part of West Sacramento community. We are so thankful to the Jung's and all the staff that give back so much daily to our children and community. Thank you.

I began taking my son here at the start of pre-k. I have nothing but great things to say about Uplift. The instructors are very knowledgeable and makes learning karate easy for my son. I love that they make the families get involved with the learning/practices. I love how they motivate the tiny tigers with the character belt ranks. My son has learned so much from uplift regards to self-esteem, respect and discipline. For as long as we live in West Sacramento, I will continue to bring him for classes. I may join the Adult class in the future! Thank you Ms. Swan for being such an amazing instructor!

The classes are well-structured, offering a perfect balance of discipline, fun, and learning. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, the tailored approach ensures that everyone progresses at their own pace. What I love most is how the teachings go beyond just physical skills; they instill values like respect, self-esteem, and discipline that are applicable in everyday life.

This is an amazing martial arts school run by a husband and wife team. The instructors do an amazing job learning kids' names and have great class management skills to allow kids to do martial arts while remaining in control. Students are taught life skills (confidence, respect, control, leadership) in addition to taekwondo skills.

And then they were brown belts... at this point my boys have grown up in this establishment of love and compassion. Mr. And Mrs. Jung have been so nurturing and patient in teaching my boys the art of taekwondo and life skills that will be their foundation for growth.
