University of Beer - Roseville

5 StarsThis place is a masterpiece of beer and bites! I always order the Asian Waffle Fries, they're hands down the best fries on the planet, and I swear I'm not overhyping it. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and just chef's kiss. I've visited their other locations, and while they're all solid, this one is unmatched in quality and atmosphere.Honestly, I'd love to gatekeep this place because it's that good, but it deserves all the love. If you're into amazing food, great beer, and an unbeatable vibe, University of Beer is where you need to be.

The food is for sure 5 stars, but the service is not. This place takes forever even if you order ahead, which is frustrating. The employees are also a little rude.I really enjoy the fiesta bowl and the chicken Cesar salad. But everything is a little pricey for the amount of food you get. I would say it's better than bar quality food but I would skip it if you're super hungry or in a rush.

Next waitress comes back after the beer was delivered and said...oops wrong special from last month, now a French dip. So basically pay for the beer now unless I get the French Dip. Not a huge deal, but seemed tacky. I order the crab sandwich.Crab sandwich was meh for $28. Lots of crab but too salty and a weird tang to it. The Bad:The do not take cash. I looked and may have missed it leaving but didn't see a sign stating that. Waitress said if we really wanted to that the manager could put it on his credit card and we can give him cash...seriously? Honestly, if they took cash I'd bump it to a 3 to most likely 4 stars. We have come before on multiple trips but too many other options that take cash...I know...I am getting old and get off my lawn but I still like using cash when I want to.

I was looking forward to the all you eat wings but they were fried so mud the meat was dry and wings were small causing over cooking. I literally thought it was a joke my friend said this is horrible dude. We tried another couple of flavors but the same condition. Fried hard and over cooked.

We came here on a Friday for happy hour (M-F 3:00-6:00). Bar snacks are BOGO and craft beers are $7. I was surprised by how busy it was at the bar since we came here kind of early. We ordered the Cajun fried calamari and Thai lettuce cups. They were both sizable and were enough to fill the two of us up. The bartender/ waitress was attentive and friendly. My water cup was refilled multiple times. Yes, I drank water at a bar.

Pretty much everything you would expect out of a beer forward restaurant. Theres an extensive list to choose from for drinks and food. The inside was very clean and nicely decorated with greenery and some Knick knacks. Great for large groups and families. The food menu has a lot of bar bite classics along with other less expected items (like the shrimp trio and lettuce wraps). Everyone at our table was satisfied with what they ordered. I had the beef sliders and garlic fries. The secret sauce on the sliders was amazing. The garlic fries were well seasoned and delicious. Their ranch is very dill heavy which I enjoyed.

The service was quick and friendly, there were many choices of food and drinks, and the food was tasty. The ambiance was clean, and while the bar area was louder, the restaurant area was not so loud that we could converse with the people at our table. We will definitely return.

We were on our way to another restaurant when it was suggested University of Beer's Monday unlimited wing special. I regretted making that u-turn. The wings were so, so, very dry and obviously overcooked. Who wants unlimited, disgusting wings...not me! Also, I believe this special is misleading as you are required to purchase a drink to activate it. In addition, its wings plus a side order of fries, chips, salad or potstickers so they are hoping you get full faster, ultimately ordering less wings. For $22 plus a drink, please go spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

A few weeks ago, my team of eight women decided to have lunch at the UOB, a place none of us had tried before. We were greeted by a pathway adorned with vibrant art leading into a restaurant that was equally inviting, complete with cozy booths. After placing our orders, the wait for the food was longer than expected. Initially, only two plates were served, and the rest of us had to wait. After ten minutes, three more plates were brought out, leaving some of us still waiting. Eventually, we inquired about our pending orders and were repeatedly assured they would arrive soon. By the time the final three plates were served, nearly everyone else had finished eating. This level of service was disappointing and seemed to be treated as normal by the wait staff. However, after my boss spoke up, they did compensate us for the three delayed meals.The food was OK but nothing to write home about. We will not be returning anytime soon.

The ladies here are always awesome! We come for the wings on Monday and it's always perfect. Never disappointed.
