University of Beer - East Sacramento

Great place for happy hour or just to hangout and chitchat. I love that they have pescatarian option and many varieties of beers to choose from. They also have great friendly service.

This was our first time at this location, previously we have gone to the UOB in downtown sac but it closed down. Overall:Great place to bring kids. I was hesitant at first because the focus is beer, but they were very family friendly. Plus we found out kids eat free on Tuesdays. We will definitely be back! Pros:- lots of beer selections- delicious food- kids food was incredible. This is the part that really sold me. Most restaurants will charge a bunch of money for some box Mac n cheese with fries and a drink. My kids got chicken tenders and a mini cheeseburger. Both came with French fries, orange slices, and mini churro bites. Wow. And all of it was great! - the warm toffee cake with ice cream was also fantastic! - wait staff was very kind and very attentive. Cons:- parking lot is small. It took us a bit to find parking, but it's better than the other UOB location in downtown sac. - smaller location. If you are coming with a larger group 6+ I would definitely call to reserve a table. We were there on a Sunday and there was football on so it was more busy.

UOB is a regular stop to meet up with friends/ coworkers! Over the summer, I used to come every friday for happy hour with coworkers. There is not a better happy hour in Sacramento because the bites are buy one get one free and the drinks are on sale.I have been branching out to other things on the menu, which has been fun. I will say that UOB is mostly bar food but I am a becoming a fan of the salads. I got the Thai Mango Salad, which has a good portion of protein. I got this to go, so I was extremely impressed because the salads were just as go to go as in person! There are also options to customize the different proteins for all of their salads (you can add an extra piece of fish, prawns, substitute different meats), which I really appreciate to meet certain protein goals!

Love the location, love the staff, love the owners, love the food and love the beer! Always satisfied when I come here. It's great for a night out with gf's or with family. I've come with my daughter regularly.

This is my first time at this University of Beer and I'm enjoying it. I've been to the other locations, which are great, but I like this one even more.It isn't too loud, too crowded, or too hot! I visited on one of those triple digit Sacramento days and the AC was keeping it nice and cool. The vibe is very laid back and there are some comfy couches in one corner where you can plant your posterior. My bartender was friendly and had a nice big smile. A winning combination for any bartender. As a bonus they have a $5.00 Jamo shot special with the purchase of any beer.I'm planning enhance my education, by enrolling in as many "glasses" as I can at University of Beer.

Enjoyed our first time at UOB (this location). Our server Jakob was great and quick. He came to ask us how everything was various times -- very attentive!The food was yummy. There was a flyer on the table for the Mediterranean sandwich, but it was gone by the time we ordered. Had the black bean burger instead, it was okay. I think it lacked some more sauce or perhaps I'd order guacamole to add to it next time.My mom's guacamole burger was amazing though. Not sure if it's worth $18, but it was good. I'd order that burger next time.Their fries were yummy.Will go back to try their beef next time! There were many TVs going on at once, so it'll be a great space for sports watching.

UoB is a great spot, especially for Happy Hour. The apps are buy one get one free. Truly yummy food and great beer and cocktails.

TRIVIA NIGHT!! The surrounding area was a bit cramped but we found ourselves in a nice bar decorated with some of the most creative style mixed with old and modern types of American design. The service was excellent and friendly as we had plenty of service, questions answered, and drinks recommended. We didn't order any food but we went there for their trivia night and it was a really fun experience. The trivia event was a full house with plenty of fun questions with a bit of competitiveness sprinkled in. Great experience and I recommend this for a night out with others as well as oneself.

This is my second time coming here, this time I came for happy hour. What a bargain, buy one get one free appetizers! Everything was delicious, especially the drunken pig fries. The appetizers are significantly better than the entrees here so the happy hour is a great time to come.

Great ambiance! The lighting, the decor, the TVs, everything. The food smelled amazing, but we didn't order anything. The brew on tap was tasty and different and the service was great. Will definitely be heading back.
