TLDR; absence of service and cleanliness standards + poor ratio of product to price + inconsistent quality.-- dirty chairs + tables-- poorly kept and stocked pick-up counter -- standard menu (nothing special other than their mochi + sticky rice but this is personal preferences)This location (in Southgate Plaza) has been opened for a while now and I've frequent it since the beginning as it is conveniently close to my residence. Unfortunately, the excitement I had has deteriorated over time and after today, it's dead.My first experience with the chain was in Davis which catalyzed my enjoyment of their mochi, sago, and black sticky rice. I found out that the black sticky rice is a seasonal topping a while back so to finally see it back on the menu was a nice surprise for me until I received the sub-par service and product today.We placed my order through the KIOSK and headed over to the waiting area afterwards. There was one group occupying the entire space inside the store but there were no other customers other than us. The two employees in the front sitting around was another illustration of how busy the store was. By the time we received our order, the girl who made the drinks just rudely slid it out on the counter without calling out our number nor shared any pleasantries. I immediately noticed how odd and inaccurate the drinks looked but we grabbed it regardless, said our thank you's, and headed outside the store. I had to sit with my thoughts for a few minutes before heading back inside to address the blatant issues--a drink over $7 with barely any toppings. The same medium-sized drink without the mochi was also sad but acceptable. I checked the advertised image on the KIOSK and on the big poster above it to ensure that I'm not being unreasonable before I took a few steps over the ordering counter to speak to the employee. The same girl who made our drinks was conveniently there (pretending to work) greeted us to which I asked if this is the drink as advertised and stated that the ratio does not seem proper (while showing her the first image of my previous experience). She blankly stared back at me with no apparent hint of emotion and answered, "Yeah, it's the same one." **cue silence** I was baffled to say the least and just gave up. I simply said, "Okay. Thank you." and left. I was looking forwarding to enjoying this for as long as possible but I guess I'll just have to start making things at home (especially in this economy).

Location was convenient since it's right by 99 Ranch and I needed groceries. Service was great. They took my order and made the drink quickly. They even gave me a spare cup since the lid I bought didn't fit on the bunny surprise cups. The tea was decent. It wasn't necessarily anything over the top or really special but that's not the gimmick. The gimmick is the cute lil stuffy!

My friend highly recommended a drink here so I decided to stop by one day. This is a cute boba shop in the same plaza as 99 Ranch. Ordering is through the kiosk. There is only one kiosk though. Tables and chairs are limited.They offer many unique drinks. The wait time for my drinks wasn't too long. Quality of their drinks were good.

I like to come here after I shop at 99 Ranch. I usually just place my order online as I'm shopping for groceries and once I'm finished I'll just walk across to UME to pick up my drinks.Interior is a bit small but lots of cute decorations and a few tables. I'm not sure if they have anyone who takes order but did notice they have a kiosk to place your order but definitely just recommend ordering online to avoid waiting in line. Btw parking can be a little chaotic but you'll find a parking space somewhere.Some drinks is recommend are the Lychee & Watermelon Green Tea and Strawberry Matcha Latte. You can pay about $3 - $4 extra for the surprise cup and get a random fun small plushie.
