I was craving sushi for my birthday, and my sister recommended this gem of a place! It's a little tucked away from the big highways, but there's plenty of parking, so no stress there. Even though we didn't have reservations, we were seated right away and taken care of promptly. The service was top-notch -- our server was kind, efficient, and made the experience even more enjoyable.As for the sushi, it was amazing! They didn't overdo it with the rice, which really let the fresh flavors of the fish shine. The bar menu was also a highlight, offering a great selection. The atmosphere was super inviting and made for a comfortable and cozy dining experience.Definitely recommend this spot for anyone craving quality sushi in a relaxed and friendly environment!

I came here on a Sunday night and it was very busy, but the wait time went by fast, max 10-15 mins. The staff were sort of running all around and checking on their tables. The food came out at a good pace. We started with the crispy calamari, which came out perfectly fried and delicious. They topped it with jalapeños, onions, and togarashi, and paired it with a delicious sauce and lemon. I would HIGHLY recommend this starter!!! We tried 2 of their house rolls, the hot mama, both with and without avocado, and another roll I can't recall (will attach photos). The hot mama had a very heavy tuna flavor which overwhelmed the roll after a few pieces, but I wholeheartedly enjoyed the flavor and the stunning presentation of the roll. The other roll had a sweeter flavor to it. The rest of the menu items look so delicious and I would love to be back here to try them.

What's not to love, the food, the staff and ambiance are all lovely. I've been coming here for a few years and it's become home to many celebrations for our family. Our favorite rolls are Spicy DJ, Wildhawk, Hot Momma.Other faves- Tempura green beans, edamame, teriyaki chicken, cheesecake (yum yum) and molten chocolate cake. The consistency keeps us coming back, cleanliness, staff and food all are pretty exceptional

Umai is one of our absolute favorite sushi spots that our family and friends have enjoyed ever since they have opened! Food is always so delicious, fish is so fresh and presentation is amazing! We always enjoy every time we dine in or order for take out! It does get pretty busy as it's a super popular place so expect to have some wait times on peak dining hours. The vibe is fun and enjoyable and the venue has expanded to outdoor seating as well! You definitely have to try Umai if you haven't already!

Went to Umai with a couple of friends who aren the biggest sushi fans but hoped this place could help persuade them. We went on Thursday and it was lively. The music was great staff were attentive and awesome. On that alone they get 4 stars. I ordered the grantline line roll, the spicy garlic edamame and the tempura green beans! OMG...I think we all became addicted to the green beans lol. They were so tasty. I wish we could have sat at the bar because it's a beautiful natural wood top that look pretty cool. Will be back again very soon with the husband.

Siblings and I were able to take our mom out here for a lunch some months back and were happy to find that the spot was also dog friendly (AKA we were able to bring our dog with us!). We sat outside in the patio area and were happily tended to by staff. Our server was patient and friendly, helping not only us get settled but also our pup. We ordered the following: - Crispy Calamari: 5/5 this was our favorite for sure! Nice, seasoned, and crisp. We loved the sauce that accompanied it... also got a second order because it was delicious. - Assorted vegetable tempura: 3.5/5 decent and a good amount provided. All agreed that the batter could be thicker for being fried, but nevertheless, it was tasty! - Wilton Roll: 3/5 decent but wasn't too impressed. Flavor was there though. - Spicy DJ: 4/5 we liked this one for sure! Flavor and texture balanced out. We like our food with a little zing to it, and that's what was done. - Katsu: 3.5/5 flavorful and filling! Definitely would return again to try other rolls and dishes. We really appreciate the possibility of having our dog with us while going out for a meal like this so that's a huge plus!

This place is a hidden gem, their food, service and ambiance is just amazing. Food is super delicious. 5/5

Delicious food and good service Had a bottle of wine with it and if you only see it to be able to purchase by the glass ask your waitress you can purchase the bottle. Very nice seating and clean.

Service is good, ambiance looks nice especially when you're dining in but today's order was to-go. Everything was pretty yummy and they're really quick to fulfill orders. They have plenty of space to seat bigger parties.

Umai has a great choices of Japanese foods, yesterday we had Bacon wrapped Oyster, Tempura Shrimps and a Steak. Ok...my only concern is to be more spontaneous with how they're cooked, sometimes is perfectly cook, sometimes is overcooked and the attention to details. We did not complain cuz the veggies were phenomenal! And we love the ambiance and your people thats what lures us the most!
