Really good fish, prawns, hush puppies, and fries. Old school signs for the menus, but the dining room is clean and fresh tablecloths are protected by glass. Booths and tables are available, and handicapped parking is just steps from the door. Staff is friendly and the order came quickly. I will be back.

I've driven by this place hundreds of times. Living and working in this are. I'm not a big fan of fish but I was craving some fish and chips so I decided to come and check it out. Th inside still had that old school look to it. You know when you see their menu with that look the food is gonna be hella good. I got the two piece fish and fries. It came out fairly quick. The pieces of fish are huge! I put a picture of my hand for reference. The tartar sauce has a really nice taste to it. The batter used was good as well. The only thing I needed was some hot sauce. The fries were a 2/10. No flavor no salt nothing.

I haven't had fish and chips like this in a long time. Hot, crispy outside with plenty of fish inside. To me, there seemed to be more breading than I like. That didn't stop me from eating my entire basket! You can order to go or order and dine in.

Have driven by this place multiple times, especially during my community college days. Yesterday was Good Friday, so me and my family decided to stop by for some good fish and chips. We came in around 8 (30 mins before closing time) and it wasn't super busy. We ordered and got our food within 5-10 mins. We had 2 orders of 3 piece fish and chips and fried zucchini. The prices were a bit higher than our usual fish and chips joint, but the food and service were great.

Tugboat is probably my second most fave Fish and Chips restaurant in this area. Actually number one and two are pretty darn close. The prices are raised from what they used to be last I was here. $17.00 or so inc tax for a nice 3 piece order with chips. So, much for a cheap fast lunch, but the price is the price ... same at all the other fish places too.These fish are not just the el chepo pre coated and frozen triangles of fish you'll get at some chain restaurant. These are real filets of fish drenched in batter and then fried on the spot as you order. The fish comes out hot and crispy and surprisingly not very greasy. The fries are just standard frozen fries. If you want reliable and tasty fish and chips in a casual setting, this is the place. There are several Tugboat locations in the Sac/Roseville area. They're not fancy places, but the food is what you go for!

I have driven past this place about a thousand times over the years and never stopped in, partly because it looks so ancient from the outside. What a mistake! This place has some of the best fried food I have had! I have been here about 6 times now. The fish is so moist and tender, the shrimp are large and delicious, and every time I get the hushpuppies and lumpia, they are awesome! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is run down inside and out. I always get the food to go. They are very fast and efficient. I highly recommend the food.

Nope. Service was good, folks were nice. But food was meh at best. Not a place I would go back to again or go out of my way for.

My son was craving fish n chips after house hunting so we stopped in. He & my husband ordered fish n chips and said it was good but they've had better. I ordered deep fried mushrooms & prawns. I like it a lot but they were a tiny bit over cooked. Everything came with ketchup, ranch, cocktail sauce & vinegar. They have fountain drinks (coke products). The place is in an old strip mall & has been there for years. It is run by a friendly Asian family. It's small inside, aged but clean. No outside dining.

ive been here once, i came on my bike because i was hungry and it was close by and the sweet old lady was so nice and came out to open the door for me since i had my bike, the food came out fairly quick as well and it was super nice and crispy, it was really good, just needed some hot sauce for me. its a cute little store i would recommend.

Received Old Fish & Stale Fries, unfriendly customer service, and waste of money. I surely hope it wasn't b/c of the color of my skin. Horrible experience!
