Toogood Estate Winery

Morgan and Christina are lovely, and so are the ports!! I love visiting their wine cave to sample the ports! A fan favorite is the riesling, Angelica and the 8year tawny port. Highly recommend!

We headed up to TooGood Winery as my husband belonged to the wine club and had tons of wine to pick up. We were able to do tastings in the cave with Jamie and I can't say enough good things about her. She was SO KIND and hospitable! She helped me shop for wine to fill our cases & and was extremely patient! I appreciate her and all the staff working so very much!!! Thanks so much.

Like a few others, we were introduced to this winery via Groupon. It's quite a distance from home but our group of 4 turned the trek into a weekend adventure. Living in the city, I breathed in deep the crisp, cool air and took in the budding spring, mountainous view. Definitely appreciated the beautiful location! We arrived for an 11:30am tasting and was quickly greeted by a host who ushered us in to the caves. (Shh, don't tell, but one of our hosts was a friendly feline who seemed to know she was in the midst of cat lovers!)Staff was perfectly balanced between entertaining and professional, and we all felt it was a very enjoyable tasting experience. As for the wines, I have no complaints. There weren't any significant standouts for me other than the Barbera in the futures barrel, working its way towards bottling. The ports were tasty as well. We each chose a bottle to bring home and our winners were the 2017 Zinfandel and 2021 Pinot Noir Rose. All in all, it was a nice introduction to El Dorado County wine tasting. :)

Really enjoyed our experience. We were a group of 4 with a Groupon ($130 for wine tasting for 4 plus a bottle / wine glass each) we got to try wines we've never tried before. Our wine pourers were really sweet. It was a lovely day in the wine cave!

My daughter recommended we stop here on out wine teasting weekend and I'm so glad we did. We had a great time taking to the staff and sampling so many yummy wines. Their ports are outstanding so much so that we became members! Can't wait for our next visit.

Recently visited for port tasting event. Yummy. They pair all their ports with tasty bites. Hostess was engaging and informative. A fun event with limited seating at each event. It was also time to refill our pony.

If I could give them zero stars I would. It's sad this winery was passed down because the original owners use to care about their business. The 1/4 owners wife Kayla is a liar so get everything in writing before you trust what she says. They up charged us to get a (private chief) who was actually the restaurant right down the street they ordered from and their wine is mediocre at best. Save your time, save your money and go anywhere but here. Garbage wine, garbage management and worst of all lying.

Staff were awesome, helpful and super informative. Quaint little winery outside of Placerville. Beautiful drive. Excellent wine and if you are a fan of ports, I highly recommend. They have over 40 ports. Can't wait to go back. Side note. Bring a snack if there's not a food truck

Love this place. Great service and really good red wines. Absolutely beautiful location, great service, and the wine cave is honestly super cool. Highly recommended!!!
