Tony's is excellent! Sometimes, one needs a good old school sandwich like mama makes. Tony's Delicatessen hits! Custom made sandwiches with an array of fresh breads, veggies and meats along with tasty sides and drinks to choose from. Tony's reminds me of the after school sandwiches that awaited me and my siblings when we arrived home after a day a school. We were hungry coming through the door and mama had all the fixings for our sandwiches ready. Custom made sandwiches, solid customer service, and good prices.

Very solid sandwiches and a nice local proprietor await you at Tony's Deli.I've only been to JFK, but this place feels like NYC vibes. Want chips? They have ALL the chips! Want a beverage? They have ALL the drinks! Custom sando, no problem.The high ceilings bring a spacious air to the deli. You can order at the counter and wait for your sandwich to go or have it at one of several tables inside. You could even go to capitol park for a picnic. You might get a little verbal sparring with the old timers, but it comes from a place of love. I found service to be friendly and quick well after the typical lunch hour.Quality meats, fresh veggies and good breads are available for all the sandwiches. Wraps? They have them. Panini's? Oh yeah. Meatball sub? Mmmmmmm. You really can't go wrong here and could have something new every day for a month.Go to lunch downtown and patronize Tony's Deli, you won't regret it!

Talk about delicious sandwiches!! Tony the owner was present when I ordered my sandwich. He was so kind. Locals knew him and made conversation.The restaurant is clean. There was a dedicated employee cleaning the tables and helping customers. Talk about excellent customer service.They have specialty sandwiches on the menu. However, you can basically order your sandwich any way you like it. I told Tony what I liked and what he recommended on how to order my sandwich.He did not disappoint.All of the ingredients are fresh. They are not processed. The sandwich was so soft. They give you a york mint patty candy as a treat!I ordered a Turkey provolone sandwich on wheat bread. So tasty!!A local recommended that I try this place. They were not wrong!Give it a try if you're looking for a local deli spot. They knock subway out of the water. Yum!

Staple of Sacramento! Been coming here since I was a kid and cant get enough. Hope to keep stoppin by for years to come- theres nowhere else quite like this place!Food is fantastic, the service is great, and no matter where youre from it makes you feel like home. Take the time to try it out!

Here's why:As someone from the northeast, I firmly believe that if you order an Italian subway sandwich, you shouldn't have to tell the sandwich maker how to make it liked the Italians do. If you feel the same, then you're going to like Tony's. The Italian is fairly priced and made authentically. The experience is seamless--simply walk through the door and be greeted by the friendly staff, order the sandwich, sit down in the classic dining area, listen to the good tunes (seriously, they have a great radio station), and when they bring you your sandwich, rest assured that it's made just like you'd expect, and enjoy. It's that easy and good.

I had been wanting to stop into Tony's for the longest time, sandwiches are one of my favorite foods and I heard they do it right.On my first visit Tony was at the counter and welcomed me in and helped make some suggestions as I was having a hard time deciding. I ended up ordering two sandwiches, the Italian($11.95) (a regular go to at most sandwich spots) and the Godfather ($13.95) (a monster of a sandwich). I ordered these to-go along with a Meatball sub (11.95).The sandwiches were delicious and they came with a pickle AND Tony gave us dessert (cheesecake).You can dine in or do take-out and they get very busy around peak lunch hours. The service is always great though.I stopped in a couple weeks later with a co-worker for lunch and got the Reuben ($11.95) for dine in and it was delicious, the meat was hot and the cheese was melty. They also gave us banana pudding this time as a dessert.I can understand why this place has been in business so long and why it's so popular downtown. If you haven't tried it, it is well worth the stop.They're open M-F from 10:30am-3pm which is why it took me so long to stop by, but it's worth the weekday daytime visit to the city if you don't already work downtown.They also do catering which seems like a great option for parties or business meetings.

A classic with great service, great sandwiches, and all the snacks you need. Salads are good too.

The Sicilian on dutch crunch was soooo good. The bread didn't hurt the roof of my mouth which is a plus! The owner and workers here are nice and funny, definitely a cool looking spot inside and out with lots of drink and chip and sandwich options. If you have a free weekday lunch definitely come try this place out since they are only open weekdays.

One of the best sandwich spots in town hands down. The sandwich was loaded and flavorful with fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and Elias and the staff are incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself is exceptionally clean with great decor as well, honestly could not recommend this place enough!

What a lucky find! We were in town on business and looking for a good sandwich. We didn't find a good sandwich, we found the best sandwiches we've ever had. In fact, it was so good that we ordered 2 more sandwiches to go for dinner later. We had the godfather, California club on jalapeño focaccia, egg salad on focaccia and albacore sandwiches. All were DELICIOUS!! Plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food. Huge selection of chips and drinks. The staff were top notch, welcoming and kind, made suggestions, excellent service and great conversation. They gave us homemade chocolate cookies which were SO yummy. A nice surprise in our sandwiches to go was a York peppermint patty for each of us. Who does this anymore? They treat their customers so well. This is a place we'll return to when we're back in town or worth a stop if passing through. Thank you!!
