Tong Thai Bistro

Food: Portion sizes seemed generous and food tasted good. It didn't blow me out of the water or anything, but the food was really solid. The crispy chicken on their fried rice is basically just regular chicken katsu.Ambiance: Dishware was attractive and atmosphere was warm and clean. I quite liked the interior of the restaurant - it was really comfortable.Service: Service was fast and the waiter was really diligent about keeping our waters refilled and making sure we knew when our food would be ready.

My wife and I stopped by Tong Thai Bistro tonight and walked away thoroughly impressed. We both ordered a few of their dishes--she went with the drunken noodles while I tried the Pad Thai and Thai Satay. The food itself was tasty and comforting, hitting all the right notes in flavor and spice. It also came very quickly.But what really stood out was how fantastic the service was. The staff made sure we felt taken care of without being overbearing, constantly attentive but never interrupting our conversation. Little touches here and there showed how much they care about every customer's experience, and it made our evening feel extra special.It's clear this place is new (about a year?), but they're already setting a high standard when it comes to care and hospitality. If you're looking for a spot with good Thai food and even better service, Tong Thai Bistro is definitely worth a visit.

As a Folsom local and lover of Thai food, I have tried nearly all of the Thai restaurants in the Folsom area. Tong Thai is my go-to favorite Thai place in the area. Location: Conveniently located next to Raley's, parking is easyAmbiance: Fairly small inside, but it is clean and has cute decorService: Always friendly and helpful, even when they are really busy. Easy to make a phone order or come in and get service. Sometimes there is a line waiting to pay or pick up during peak hours, but they are always polite and appreciative for customers' patience.FoodMy go-to order here is: Crab wontons "Boms" (newer on the menu)-- 6 crispy wontons filled with cream cheese and crab, they are delicious and flavor is really balanced. Served with a nice sweet and sour sauce. Pad Thai w/ Tofu- always delicious, their sauce is amazing. Rich with peanut flavor, and their tofu is cooked perfectly- slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the insidePad See-Ew- another great noodle dish. The soy based sauce is just sweet enough and packed with flavor. Noodles are always cooked perfectly, served with a good ratio of broccoli and carrot to compliment the tofu. Their spice level runs pretty average-- I'm a bit of a wimp so I tend to run on the side of mild-moderate and I order a level 1 here (I have tried a 2 a few times and its just a little bit too spicy for me). I've also tried the Panang curry which was really good as well, but I'm typically a noodle girl.Overall, I highly recommend Tong Thai!

This is by far our favorite Thai place in Folsom and Sacramento! The family business is so well run, they are exceptionally kind and happy. We go there and they remember us, bring us fresh tea and quickly bring out all our dishes. The food is spectacular and fresh. We specifically go there for the soups and noodle soups. Just amazing. We love supporting this family business and will continue to! So cozy and decor is simple and clean! See you soon!

The food here is fantastic no complaints at all! We drive 40 mins to get here when we craving Thai food. I've tried so many restaurants but not as good as Tong Thai. Romlan is very friendly and lovely,always greeting us with a big smile lastly Great Service

Dined here for lunch. We ordered Pad See Ew and Thai Basil. Generous portions, I like that you can pick the level of heat that you want for your dish. The flavors were great and vegetables were fresh and tasty. Great service we will be back. Let's keep this small business in business.

Again another change in management and they still have all our love + support! Romlan and his family are the sweetest and truly care about the quality of food/service they provide. Our hearts and bellies are happily full each time we've been here. See/taste/experience for yourself!

Absolutely amazing from food to service! My 4-year-old picky eater actually ate some food from here. Loved my drunken noodle (one of the best I have ever had)! Such nice wait staff and I would love to come back and try some more!

Oh my, this place is good. Seriously good. We are currently on day three of a take out order and it just keeps getting better - there is no way this delicious food will last through the night! We ordered the drunken chicken noodles, the chicken pad Thai and the pumpkin curry with chicken. Sorry Chickens. Everything was incredible and the pumpkin curry is an absolute standout. We ordered to go so we can't speak in too much detail about the interior ambience but it sure looked like a well appointed and comfortable place inside! Tong Thai is a small and busy place so be patient and your taste buds will thank you many times!

Excellent customer service and really tasty food. We really loved that the rice is included and they don't charge extra for rice like some other Thai restaurants. We will be back!
