Our first time here and will definitely be back! We've been to all of the ramen spots in the greater Sacramento area and this was one of our favorites. We had the tonkatsu ramen and spicy tonkatsu ramen. Both were great, the broth had good flavor, the meat was hearty and the egg was cooked perfectly! Inside was clean and the service was great.

Cute little ramen shop, between Wienerschnitzel and Kiki's Chicken on Auburn Blvd, near Madison Ave. Aside from there being a stainless steel front counter, they really made it into a cozy space where I actually want to sit down and enjoy a meal, rather than grab my food and go, as if it were a fast food joint (it replaced the short-lived Sno-White Drive-In). Service was very good. The night we went it was one lady running the register and the floor. Yes, there is table service! She provided polite and efficient service and our food came up in a timely manner. I ordered the mixed tempura and the black garlic ramen. The tempura was great, not oily at all. The char-siu pork was a little too fatty and not as tender as others, and the broth was a little bland, albeit very garlicky as it should be. The addition of hot chili oil and powder elevated the flavor. The egg was delicous and noodles had perfect texture. Even though it wasn't the best ramen I've had, I would definitely return to try more items or if I need that ramen fix. Support local, small, and Asian-owned!

I couple of friends and I stopped by here for dinner. Tokyo House located in the old sno white building. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and asked if I was ordering to go or eating in. I let her know I was eating in with a coupe friends and she said I could picked anywhere to sit. I ordered the Gyoza and Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen which I added an additional egg, corn and extra noodles and a hot tea. My appetizer arrives and the gyoza was delicious and flavorful the meat inside was equally flavorful I highly recommend it. My Ramen arrives and it too was delicious. N did feel it lacked some flavor though. I needed to add a lot of chili oil and chili seasoning to it. The pork was very tender but too lacked flavor. The broth was good but too needed more flavor. It definitely wasn't bad but I do have to knock a star off for this reason. Overall, I'd definitely will come back and try other reman dishes and appetizers. It's definitely worth coming to if you are in the area. I wouldn't make a special trip out though.

It's wonderful to see some new high-quality restaurants in the Sacramento, Carmichael, and Citrus Heights areas. This place serves ramen, curry, and traditional Japanese fare. My husband and I made a point to try this place asap since it is near T4. We accidentally received the wrong to-go order, but the owner quickly offered to replace the item during a future visit. My husband enjoyed the ramen and the chicken curry was amazing. It's hard to find this stuff unless you're in downtown Sac. This spot is a must-try if you're in the area and craving Japanese food.

I've been on a mission to find good Japanese restaurants that serve delicious curry, and I'd add this to one of my list of favorites! This was my first time here, and definitely won't be the last. When arriving, the store front outside looked super tiny with minimal parking spaces, but we were lucky there was an empty spot right in front of the restaurant! Since it's about to be Halloween, I love their participation in the holiday by having decor on their windows. Walking in, the space is actually spacious! It extended towards the back, seeing there were tables back there as well. We were lucky we were able to be seated right away, and came in during the non-rush hour. The interior looked very clean, modern, and comfortable. It's giving me boba shop vibes, but it's actually a Japanese restaurant. Here is what we ordered:Tonkatsu curry (10/10): I'm coming back here next time and I'd order this again!! It was my first time seeing a place provide thick slices of tonkatsu that is cooked perfectly and had the best fry (no taste of burnt panko/bread crumb). I could see the seasoning of black pepper, and it was delicious. The curry was a super nice and thick consistency, not too gloopy but not runny either. I love the taste of it, and they provided huge chunks of potato and carrots. I prefer the chunks to be chopped smaller, but I understand that smaller = more mush/soft texture. Overall it's a solid good curry and would definitely get it again. Chicken Katsu curry (10/10- not pictured): Same as the above review, it's cooked beautifully and has the perfect bite and light crunch! The chicken was tender and when you bite it, it has a nice soft meaty texture. It was delicious. Chicken Karaage (9/10): I love love the HUGE pieces of chicken we received. Biting into it, it didn't have much flavor, but it was super moist, tender, and juicy! Cooked beautifully, and there was no skimp on the size. The breading/skin coating was not my style, but definitely was deep fried perfectly! Dipped it in the mayo/togarashi mixture with a squeeze of lemon from the lemon wedge = PERFECTION! Thai Tea (7/10): I'm no expert in Thai tea, but it didn't give much of a strong Thai tea flavor. It was good, but I think this is your normal standard Thai tea with a bit more water-taste than usual. Overall, happy to have researched and found this gem through Yelp search bar, and decided to go check it out. I'd come back again when I have a Japanese curry craving or come try their ramen. It is going to be cold weather season soon!

The last time I went, I had that chicken curry, and it was fantastic. Freshly made presentation with fantastic! The hostess was super polite. The place was very clean. It's highly recommended, but I have bad news. As of February 28, 2025 It's permanently closed! I'm not sure what happened. Very sad.

Saw this passing and was eager to try it! Their menu had different donburi, curry, and rice plates on top of ramen. So exited to have a Japanese restaurant in the area that offers more than ramen! Decided to order take out and placed my order over the phone. They were still working on it when I arrived and kindly offered me some water while I waited. The inside had a couple of tables and interior was very sleek. We got the miso and shoyu ramen. The ramen had your standard toppings: chasu, bamboo shoots, fish cake, wood ear mushrooms. The miso ramen also had corn with butter on top, which was different but really good. The broths were rich for both. The egg was perfect, better than other places I've had recently. You could definitely taste the soy and the yolk was just the right soft boil. Since it was takeout it was hard to gauge how large it was. One ramen was perfect for me and my 2 littles to share. Tokyo House took over the former Kik's location and Snowbee Burger. Can't wait to try out their other items!

This place was very disappointing. I am not sure how they're well rated and I do understand that taste.is relative. However, I've been eating ramen before there was a single ramen restaurant in LA or Sacramento and I have only given 1 star to 2 ramen spots and both are in Sac. The pics look delicious but the broth is fraught with salt and an unhealthy amount of MSG which might be in one or more of the ingredients they use. Never tasted msg in ramen before. I react to a more than moderate amount of msg and I reacted to this broth. Way too salty. Ajitama cooked nicely but too sweet. Noodles over cooked. Space is clean and the staff don't know what to do with feedback. I would think restauranteurs would prefer you're honest with feedback and have the opportunity to address it in real time rather than read about it here. I guess they prefer this. It's a no for me

Best ramen I've ever had. I decided to stop by here after getting out of school and needless to say I was absolutely floored by how good the food was. I've been to many ramen places, even ones in Japan and this by far, has to be one of the best places I have ever tried. Not only their ramen but their other dishes will not disappoint you. I love the tonkatsu, the meat, breading and even the way they fry it is very clean. The food is very aesthetically pleasing and the smell is wonderful as well. Only complaint I might have is the broth being a little salty, but that's no problem because you can just ask for a little bit of extra plain broth on the side to mix it in which gives it the perfect flavor. I have no complaints about the service and overall this little spot is great. They really bring that Japanese flavor into their food and I 100% recommend trying.
