Tofanelli's Gold Country Bistro

Our first time here and what a great experience! Such a gem in our favorite part of our beautiful grass valley! To start we had the coconut prawns which were some of the best I've had! Our party enjoyed prime rib, cheeseburgers, Mac and cheese, seafood fettuccine, and ahi tuna and it all was absolute divine! The menu offered so many options it was hard to choose! The restaurant was busy but the we got our food quickly! They were really helpful with our little and had options for her too which were all perfect she loved the experience! We will definitely be back! So happy and had a great Saturday night!

This place really has three vibes going for it. Outdoor patio, indoor dining and bar seating, but the food is just as good in any atmosphere you choose!LOCATION & DECOR:Tofanelli's is nestled right on Main Street in Grass Valley, making it easy to find and even easier to fall in love with. The outdoor seating area is a standout--surrounded by lush greenery, it's got this almost retreat-like vibe--scenic and inviting. Perfect for soaking in the town's charm while enjoying your meal.FOOD & DRINK:Build-Your-Own Scramble: My go-to. I usually throw in some salmon and veggies, and it's always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.French Toast: Hands down, amazing. Sweet, fluffy, and worth every bite.Fresh Juice: Could be better--it's a little too close to room temperature for my taste. Would love it ice cold.Coffee: Meh. It's the bare minimum house coffee--gets the job done, but don't expect anything fancy unfortunately.PRICE:Fairly priced for the quality and portions you get. The variety on the menu ensures there's something for everyone, and the generous portions make it worth it. **SWAG/AMENITIES:** - Outdoor seating with scenic greenery - Wide variety of breakfast options (you'll find whatever you're craving) - Friendly and accommodating staff - Kid-friendly and casual vibe **STAFF & EXPERIENCE:** The staff here is top-notch--kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Even the other patrons add to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. **FINAL THOUGHTS:** Tofanelli's has quickly become a favorite for breakfast in Grass Valley. Between the outdoor charm, vast food selection, and consistently good service, it's a place I'll keep coming back to. Just wish the juice was colder and the coffee had a lil' more personality.

Went in on a Friday night with my husband and everything was delicious. We had a drink at the bar before being seated, the bartender was friendly and made me an espresso martini, which was decent (I don't normally have them so my standards aren't high). It was pretty busy for a Friday night so plan accordingly if you go during that time. It was raining and the restaurant was nice and warm. Our server was awesome, very helpful and provided above and beyond service, wish I remembered his name but tall blonde haired guy. Overall great experience and will be back!

Very busy on a Friday night, we entered without a reservation and settled at the bar. It was 5:30 pm. Meal was great - sashimi seared tuna salad and veg risotto we both shared. Very delicious and great service. Thank you.

Went for lunch today..March 30..see receipt. We always have a great experience here..Great food..big portions..amazing staff!We split the bleu burger and the wild burger. ALL their patties are a half a pound! The seasoned fries are awesome, and my boyfriend got the onion rings for an extra 3 bucks as a substitution. Burgers always cooked as you requested!They are always busy...make a reservation! Today was a rainy day so indoor dining was the only option unless you had your furry friend then you could eat outside in the enclosed area with heaters. We shared a couple bites of the caramel cheesecake...yummy! We had a ton of leftovers (dont need to cook dinner!).Jasmine puts out QUALITY food in the kitchen! Jeffrey is also great with customer service and cleaning up or whatever the customer needs!Full bar with seasoned bartenders! Great place for groups and your furry friends!

Very homy atmosphere, love the food and service!! Very authentic! It gets a little busy later morning so come in for earlier breakfast or lunch time.

The restaurant is so cute. The service was great. The food was good. The crab cake was good, and the ribeye was good. Pick a soup instead of a salad. Clam chowder was good. They give you complimentary bread. It's was warm bread with good flavor of OLIVE OIL AND BALSAMIC VINEGAR DIPPING SAUCE.

We love Tofanelli's, it's one of our favorite restaurants. My husband took me there for my birthday lunch last week. We had a lovely seat out on the patio. Our server was Brindony, she was great! She made my birthday lunch so enjoyable and was very attentive. I had the Shrimp & Asparagus salad, and it was delicious!Thank you so much.

Would not order a sort of steak, place does not know how to cook a steak at all. Overpriced for a very undercooked piece of meat. Will never be back
