There was a very helpful and friendly barista working when I was there. The two Tiferet locations are independently owned from one another. This one seems to be a bit less inexpensive than the other one across from McKinley Park - but this location is accessible from the medical center's parking lot, which you have to pay for. Although, you could probably get free street parking and walk into this one. Just need a little logistical pre-planning. Aside from that, it's your standard coffeeshop, with your standard coffee fare and pastries, but with maybe a little more quiet ambience most of the time. If you're there during rush hour, it might be a different story since most of the medical staff and personnel frequent this shop as it's in the Mercy General Hospital. All in all to say, the black coffee I got and spruced up with a splash of non-dairy milk and little simple syrup was very, very good! And hot!

I'm not a usual coffee drinker but I stopped by today after smelling the bakery items a couple days ago. The cafe is located in Mercy General Hospital Plaza. The place is simply but warmly decorated. I got a strawberry croissant that was baked this morning and a regular sized mocha. The owner was super friendly and offered me a discount since I had to wait a couple minutes. I tried to decline but she insisted. Wow! I really enjoyed everything. I will likely be a regular customer

(Inside Mercy General Hospital) This is the best coffee house. Sabrina (boriqua). The meaning of her shop Tiferet means " Glory".Coffee is great, she has a wonderful spirit and a strong female business owner. If you have a chance to stop by it will give you a positive spirit of energy. Sometimes that's what one needs when you're at the hospital... That's what I needed , and I left with a positive spirit and a smile. Thank you Sabrina. She saw the Puerto rican in me before I knew hers. We watch out for each other, love it. Come visit I had the Iced Caramel Macchiato

Back in Sacramento and, as is my custom, visited Tiferet Coffee House. This time I went to their J Street location. The consistency of their excellent coffees, service and atmosphere are the reasons to keep coming back. Their pastries are amazing, but they also a breakfast sandwich and fresh fruit (for those watching their carbs). Every time I come to Tiferet I buy several bags of coffee beans so I don't have to miss out while I'm away. This is a place worth going out of your way for.The coffee house is located inside Mercy Medical Plaza. Tiferet is great place to go to while waiting as it has a true coffee house atmosphere.

Came here while waiting for my husband's endoscopy to be done. The batista was super friendly and made my iced coffee perfect! If you're wanting something on the sweeter side, try iced coffee with caramel and white chocolate.....SUPER yum.

I was in Sac for a church retreat during President's Day Weekend, and I came here to get a caffeine boost before the drive back home. I was curious about their house special, so I took it. It was black tea with cinnamon, and wow. That was decent. I couldn't complain. It was really subtle sweetness and a palpable caffeine hit. I would recommend for anyone in Midtown Sac.

The only thing good about having my husband in the hospital for a week was being able to visit Tiferet for coffee and a friendly smile. Their coffee and snacks are delicious and the staff are kind and welcoming. I was grateful they had wifi to do a little work and escape the hospital vibe with some fun background music and a warm, peaceful environment. Would recommend a visit, even if you aren't visiting the hospital or Medical Center. An awesome woman-owned business you should support and a great alternative to the hospital cafeteria.

Great place, peaceful and a good place to do your work/schoolwork at. The owners are friendly and they always seem to cheer me up on a low day. The food is great, my favorite are the breakfast burritos. Regina's cilantro sauce is also the greatest and I highly recommend it as a side for your salad, sandwiches, or burritos.
