The Torch Club

We had a great time at the Torch Club -- featuring Coco Simone (she's amazing) and the best old fashioned I've had in a very long time. The Torch Club loves their music. This is a great place to go to hear local musicians. We picked up our cocktails at the bar, and the bartenders (both women!) are engaging and know how to make a good drink. A fun place to spend a Saturday night.

What an amazingly surprising experience! Very fun and energetic atmosphere. Loved the jazz music on Sunday evening. Very welcoming! It was me and a friend first time attending here,, we looked up some reviews and where to go and decided to come here. We did not realize we were going to be in for a real treat! Enjoyable music, people, and great drinks ! We can't wait to go back

This is the place to go for live music. Blues on Sunday and a mix of things on other nights. The staff is super nice too.

About six of us show up a full half hour early! Apparently they were still on a covid hour and weren't open til 6pm. However, we showed up at 5:30pm and she opened the bar for us.And because Torch Club has a reasonably-priced menu of drinks, I found myself (surprisingly) buying the first round of drinks for everyone! Great low key bar with good drinks and live music on a regular basis. The service has been good and friendly every time I've been there. It is a solid regular stop.

Wow, we found this spot last minute on a Sunday night, and didn't expect much. But we were amazed. It was exactly the type of event that we love attending, not just live music but the carefree atmosphere, musicians engaging in an open session with soulful jazz, though from the decor and from what the bartender told us about the history of this place, the venue is known for its blues performances. And the walls are covered with artwork and photos that create such a unique ambience, from clown paintings to photographs of famous performers. The drinks here are really good (I had a lemon drop and my partner had the Moose Drool). And the staff is so friendly. Toward the end of the night, the bartender took the time to tell us more about the venue, the music, and the history. It's rare to find a place that not only has live music 7 days per week, but GOOD live music. It was awesome, and the perfect place to spend time with my partner this past weekend. Note, on a Sunday, the live music ended around 11pm, and the place closes around midnight.

I don't know if we got lucky or if this place is always so fun but friends and I had a blast. A lot of people have mentioned the vibe so to be specific, it's like we were there with a bunch of friends. Low key. Super friendly. People being silly and inclusive. The bartenders were the same as the patrons. Looking forward to checking it out again.

Awesome establishment, and Mark (bartender) is the glue that brings it all together. Sundays blues/jazz vibe that is unmatched. A must visit in downtown Sac!

We were visiting Sacramento and our hotel was within walking distance so we thought why not? Better than the hotel bar. Better by a million times. We did not know they have live music pretty much every night. The service was wonderful. The server was very attentive even though it was full especially for it being a Wednesday night. When I return to Sacramento I will definitely pay this place a visit

Absolutely terrible place, very dirty bathrooms and awful service. I will not be coming back! And after using my card here I had a bunch of fraudulent charges on it and had to call my bank!
